I think half of the reason he giggles like that is because he finds it amusing when the camera crew tries to duck and cover to avoid the onslaught of flying paint particles. I'm rather surprised we never saw droplets on the camera lense.

Back when I was in high school I used to paint using the Bob Ross oil technique. Never did I dare spread paint and odorless thinner all over my parent's living room! ....but I was tempted :)

That's awesome! :) His techniques were quite ingenious. They made it possible to create natural randomness in deliberately placed strokes. My teachers in art school liked to make fun of him (of course) but I used elements of his techniques in non-landscape paintings, the results of which the teachers fawned over without an inkling of a notion that I utilized what they closed-mindedly shunned for being "too pedestrian." Bob Ross is one of the few people about whose death I remember everything - where I was, who was around me, what I was wearing, the objects in the room, you name it. He died a few months after I graduated high school, and it felt like losing one of my best childhood friends.
