I feel like Idina has such a powerful voice but it is extremely hard to have that power and then go up even further to hit those notes. I started teaching myself how to sing like people from musicals I love. I never thought about how I could potentially ruin my vocal chords because I was very young (under 10) when I started the process. I was always good at impressions so I figured I could do it after working on it. I was right and thank God I didn't fry my voice. I'd say "Let It Go" is the hardest Idina song to sing. I was rewatching Little Shop of Horrors last year and I didn't how hard it is to sing "Suddenly Seymour" but I feel this mistake could have been avoided. I know this isn't the Broadway version but in the movie, it's not sang so powerfully because it's a moment when Audrey is first coming into her confidence but is still timid so she wouldn't sing with such volume and power.
