The best thing about this Direct was is that it really spoke to a lot of different audiances. You got excited for the Zelda and Metroid announcements, while ydayadya'd away the Marvel vs. Capcom bundle, and Dragon Quest remakes. On the other side of Twitch and KZbin people screamed and cried while Cyclops and Ryu shook hands again, or Yuji Horii showed up on screen. Everybody had a feast today, and it was awesome.

I know you kind of glossed over it Wood, but for us Ace Attorney fans, getting Investigations, especially Investigations 2, is really big news since the DS carts are so hard to find now and Investigations 2 was never officially released outside of Japan. But yeah, Zelda and the Mario Party releasing the day before my birthday were both big highlights for me. Pretty good Direct overall.

It's alright to not know and not pretend to know, but the Capcom Collection is a HUGE deal. Arguably as big of a deal or bigger than Prime 4. Some of the games listed there have never even *been on a console*. So many amazing games in that collection with online multiplayer and rollback netcode (that means playing online won't blow chunks). It's also coming to all platforms, not just Switch, which is an even bigger deal. The MvC license has been basically completely dead for a long time and many, many people thought it wasn't coming back. There was even a big movement in the FGC to have MvC 2 re-released or remastered or *something* just so it isn't lost to the sands of time. After like, 3 years of radio silence Capcom randomly drops the collection *and* reinstates the Marvel Vs. Capcom KZbin channel. Which also means it's pretty dang likely a new Marvel Vs. Capcom game is on the horizon.

Could mean it's coming only for Switch 2 and they just didn't wanna mention that yet, or it could be that it'll come out for both (and they also didn't wanna mention that). Which means we don't know if this footage is from Switch 1 or Switch 2. Regardless, I hope I can play it on day 1 on the next Switch

I don't see any correlation between the 2. The switch 2 could be announced in Octover 2024 and released in March 2025, same timing as the Switch 1. It's likely the games announced for 2025 will be on both systems and only pushed back because waiting for the Switch 2 release.

I thought the Metroid scene was very similar to the beginning of Titanfall 2, from 2016, leaving the ship, a war going on, things falling, and Titanfall was much more beautiful! See, I'm comparing it to a game from almost a decade ago.
