This is what’s frustrating about KZbin sponsorships. It erodes any trust subscribers have in even their favorite KZbinrs. KZbinrs tell us how much their followers mean to them for supporting their channel, then flat out lie to us about the quality of a product to collect a paycheck. Then as soon as the paycheck stops we hear “Well it wasn’t that great of a product anyway”. So how are we ever supposed to believe anything you say anymore about any sponsor? Is Raycom actually as awesome as you claim? Or are we going to hear their earbuds aren’t that great once they stop sponsoring you also? No matter how much you love a KZbinr’s channel, you cannot believe anything they say about a sponsored product. Only unsponsored videos have any validity whatsoever.

100% correct. But he's a content creator, not a business man. He's likely making well over 500k per year, so he should have someone in his life who can advise him on these matters; he can easily just pay someone with significant experience to consult. If he actually dug into his contract with Gfuel, I bet he might see some verbiage about defaming the sponsor. Since he's so against their brand, he might want to go ahead and give them every dollar back that they gave him. They might just sue him for that and more anyway now.

Ok, so the reason you're no longer working with GFuel is because they dropped you (or just didn't renew the contract, same dif) so instead of just quietly moving on, you make a video crapping on them and their product (a product that up until now you raved about) then announce a new sponsorship with a rival product and expect us to believe that you're going to be totally honest about the new one? You didn't even take a high ground moral stance against them. THEY dropped YOU, which suggests that had they not, you would still be working with them and telling us all to buy it. It's like you got dumped by a girlfriend and only then are saying that you never even liked her anyway. It's just bitter and immature. This was a hissy fit and it's a bad look. I get you have to make content but this video could have just been 1) New Sponsor announcement (with no mention of GFuel) + 2) room tour. It's like when Nintendo dropped you as an ambassador and you made 3 videos about it, you sook. I will never buy this new sponsor's product because I can't trust your opinion on them.

Why not create a seamless wall of Switch game cases that have your favorite cover art? A bit of sticky tack on each of the back 4 corners should be enough to hang them while also allowing you to remove them as needed without damaging the walls or the case itself. That way you kill 2 birds with one stone: you have a place to put more games and you can display the artwork you like instead of just the standard red spine. Maybe even arrange the rows by the cover art's main color and create a rainbow effect.

You really shouldn't defame sponsors buddy. That's a one way ticket to potentially losing more sponsors. Not to mention Defamation is easily a legal issue itself. Competing brands also tend to have communication behind the scenes despite what people like to think.

Being ashamed of your accomplishments is one of the dumbest things I’ve heard, I’m glad you guys had that moment in the video cuz seriously, hitting 100k and then 1 million subscribers is a big deal, despite how many channels have those plaques, it’s STILL something to be proud of. I feel your anxiety about the move. If it's acceptable to show off a PhD, it's acceptable to show off other important achievements. Glad you have them and, who knows, 10 mil could happen. I think your content could make it happen eventually. As they say, never say never. However, I wouldn't make that the entire focus because that's additional stress. I, at least, appreciate purple being their authentic selves and having fun.
