One of your best videos so far! I just started Zwift a few weeks ago so this is timely. Great video, learned a bunch of stuff about Zwift that I haven't with other videos. Would love to see more! Seems I need to increase my W/Kg. No more desserts! So far Zwift is pretty cool on a Kickr (I also have a climb), pretty realistic racing except for the sprints. I wonder if setting the trainer difficulty to zero makes it easier to do well in a race since that means you don't get surprised by a change in terrain and you can settle into the race more easily. After spending so much $ on Wahoo it seems I know need a coach to help me do better in the races :) Seriously, the coach was great.

If you build your session in Training Peaks or use a plan in the TP calendar it should show as a Custom Training Peaks workout in the workout menu on Zwift if you sync between them, no need for the head unit then when doing your sessions, changes each day according to your schedule. Great vid and good to watch the racing.

Loved the commentary and strategy while you were riding. I'm new to zwift and didn't understand his references to "aero". It sounded like some kind of special boost. How does that work?
@tumbleweedking56686 жыл бұрын
You will see an aero helmet top left, save it for when you feel an aero advantage will help you during the race such as an attack off the front or bridging to a group, click on it and i think it's 30 seconds you'll get maybe a 20 watt advantage by reduced resistance on your smart trainer.

Former zPower rider here - it's all in the calibration and being honest with yourself - if I was doing 5w/kg on anything but an out-and-out sprint then I'd quite clearly calibrated it wrong - in fact I was within 10% (over) what I now register with the Neo. Some people complain about that going from one smart trainer to the other, so it's fair to say I had it pretty well dialled-in. What's the point in fooling yourself? Then again, a smart trainer is different gravy for training... such a shame people went out of their way to abuse zPower rendering it all but outlawed in Zwift racing.

@@Cameron_Jeffers You're welcome! I'll give you a little more feedback than, Zwift racing! As someone who joined Zwift a couple of months ago and has been scouring the internet for videos about it ever since, what set your video apart from others to me was having the audio layover of Tim talking strategy. It was super interesting to hear the tactics going on and to see things like your attack with roughly 6k to go not go as planned. I also really enjoyed the cadence of the video, speeding up during "boring" parts and slowing down when Tim had something to say. I think (my personal opinion) if you are going to make racing videos, the filthy casual in me really enjoys hearing the strategy. Nice video!

@velocity47616 жыл бұрын
fantastic coaching through the race!!
@mikesimms16 жыл бұрын
I just try to ignore the cheaters on Zwift, but there's just so many of them. However, if Zwift wants e-sports to be taken seriously, they'll have to do something sooner or later. Off the top of my head, I can think of a few ideas, but a simple one would be to use statistics to identify when riders create results that are completely anomalous with respect to their own recent efforts (in much the same way that Athlinks catches marathon cheats).

Massive effort Cam. You are looking fit. It's not the win but the training effect. Zwift lacks integrity when it comes to racing results. It's too easy for people to cheat (intentionally or not) due to a whole range of factors.
