The 4g9x is the gsr. The engines only sucked when the 4g94 came out. However. You should look up on youtube the 4g92 mivec dohc. They had this head in aus for a pretty penny but it bolts on the 4g93 and 4g94. Seriously its best sounding engine and mivec kicks in like a b series vtec but with a diff sound note. I have a stock and pretty impeccable 89' dx that got stolen 2 days ago. It had 108,000 OG miles on its little engine and I had a long-term plan to upgrade it progressively. Heartbroken, needless to say, I started scrounging for another. I found a similarly unmolested, and low miles, 1990 Si. My question is how much should I pay for it? I know there's a lot of variables to consider, so I just based my offer on what I paid for the 89', $2000. It was mechanically and aesthetically as good as it gets for a car that old. I offered $3000. Is that reasonable? Funny side note, I missed a call this morning from an officer in a town a couple hours away. They found the 89' DX! I'm stoked, but now my wife is saying she would like to have one to, and doing the EF research has stoked my fire. Love your content by the way.!
