lie detectors are modern version of calling a scientist a witch and burning him
@GO10th9 жыл бұрын
How to cheat it: When you are sitting in the chair and the investigator asks you a question, just change the question in your head. For example: "Did you rob the bank?" In your head you change it to "Did you rob the bank(in your dreams)". Since you have not dreamed about it, you won't lie. Now you passed the test.

Polygraphs are essentially useless against psychotics and sociopaths. . Being a psychotic / sociopath isn't like the popular belief. In summation, its simply being able to decide to do anything you want, without the emotional ramifications everyone else gets. You can literally decide to feel guilt, decide to feel jealous, decide to feel afraid, and decide to feel nothing. . For that reason psychopaths can quite simply just decide to be emotionless, and undetectable for a polygraph.

If you ever get a chance to test a lie detector operator, do this: Have him test 10 people. Tell him in advance that ONE of the people had to have stolen money, because there was money missing, and only those 10 people had any slightest possibility of access to the money. Do this when, in fact, there was NO MONEY MISSING to begin with! You will find that the polygraph operator WILL give you a suspect, every time! If his system was accuarate, there would be NO suspect.

I picked the number 3. When he asked about 3, I didn't even feel my heart pound any harder or faster or my breathing get any heavier. He guessed my number!

Adam Opera The assholes giving these tests know they can't have too many false positives, or nobody would get hired for positions that screen with this crap. So after the test they question about "deceptive answers" they detected. If the person admits to some irrelevant or lesser offense related to the question. Or they adamantly say they weren't lying. In both cases the examiner just guesses or decides based on some quota whether or not to "fail" the subject. So really, the true polygraph test is the followup questioning. You better be sure the examiner likes you. Or doesn't already think you're guilty before the test.

Actually, torture usually doesn't work. Its the threat of torture that gets to people. When they are presented with the possibility of torture, people will want to prevent the experience. But if they are already experiencing it, they know that they can handle it, as they have been doing thus far. Now, threatening to intensify the torture works too, just not as well.

You have to have to score on a lie detector is a +6 or higher in order to pass the polygraph exam. +6 or higher on a polygraph exam represents known as no extreme deception indicated means Subject has told the truth. The other counterpart of a polygraph exam is the lowest score of a -6 or lower on a polygraph exam represents known as heavy amounts of extreme deception indicated means Subject did not tell the truth.

I make it with absolute supporting evidence: the test was done at Western Sizzlin Steak House in Havelock, NC, in 1985. The polygraph operator was Jeff Melvin of Raleigh, NC. Only one example, but this was a real world test. He gave the name of ONE waitress. In actual fact, no money was missing, a fact not revealed to Melvin until later. There were actually more than 10 people tested, only variation between the example I show in my earlier post.
