The hidden room generates there as part of the structure! You can check this by loading a world in 1.21 and running this command: /place template minecraft:trial_chambers/intersection/intersection_2

If you want to speedrun and beat the Trial Chambers by getting the Heavy Core, you'll need to start the fight against the mobs in the Trial Spawners or starting the Trial Omen.
