Character lore idea: it really isn't his face. He's wearing a burial mask, fashioned after his real face before death. His face was burned beyond recognition before death, meaning that the sculptor was going off of the descriptions of those who knew him in life, leading it to be exaggerated so much.

yeah, um, if anything, he learned QUITE well that thumbing his nose at reasonable game progression has zero downsides for him

Only downside is that in DS3, the game gets better the further into it you are progression-wise (kind of the opposite to how DS1 ends up). Since he's doing the late game and DLC stuff first he's leaving bosses like Deacons of the Deep, Wolnir and Yhorm for last. Which would be a somewhat underwhelming way to finish a playthrough. Thankfully, Twin Princes and the final boss can only be done near the end, which ends things on a high note as I think they're some of the best bosses in the base game.

I hope it's not one of those Dark Souls mods that just try to turn the game into something that the player doesn't have the tools to deal with and it just becomes very one-sided. I kept seeing that one mod that gave Pontiff the moveset of the final boss from Sekiro and I went "this does not sound like a good idea because you're stuck with a stamina bar and don't have Wolf's moveset".

@@leithaziz2716 having played through it, its not a mod rhat just makes things harder, it reworks the game from start to final dlc, adds small qol and new features while balancing that out with certain tweals like sparser and differently placed bonfires and changed enemy placement/new enemies among other things. I genuinely reccomend it as an experience, it also brings back alot of weapons and enemies from previous dark souls games for extra variety Tl:dr it rebalances and overhauls the game to provide a new experience that while a little harder is still fun for casual players, and still feels vanilla

Pestilent Mist "Carbon Monoxide spell" is my favorite spell in ds3, big slow bosses get decimated by it and it doesn't cause aggro so you can just kill mimics hassle free.

9:44 fun fact, it’s difficulty comes from the fact that it’s rhythm and timing is different from all other bosses. So bad players and noobs often find it (relatively) easier than good players, as they’re not used to the average pattern.

What catches people about Dancer is that her attacks have a very delayed windup (when you see an enemy raise their weapon, the natural expectation is that they'll slam the weapon down the instant it reaches its apex). When you can react soley by relying on this instinct, you enter into a "flowstate" and get immersed in the fight, which is a fantastic feeling. Dancer's strange timings are meant to be a curveball and the exception for people relying on this strategy, but they do have a consistent rythm between attacks, and that lets the fight keep this flowstate that makes the boss engaging without feeling cheap. You just have to learn that pattern. At a certain point, you don't need to know what attack comes directly after, you'll have a hunch of the next dodge-window. It's the one difference that in my opinion justifies that the unnatural timings, compared to a lot of delayed attacks in Elden Ring which seem only designed to throw the player off as well as break the flow, and can't be learned without trial and error. That's something that annoyed me about Godfrey and Rykard. The frequency of them probably didn't help either.

If your gonna run around with a shield primarily on your back I suggest the ethereal oak shield in the ashes dlc. It's accessible as soon as you reach the deacons area and replenishes 2 hp per second. Also it has 100 percent physical block stat
