At 3:15 I'd have taken the knight, if your bishop is taken check with the queen, after their king moves take the rooks pawn and pick up the took too. Its one bishop for a knight and took, deal of the century. You'll have also moved his king and be threatening his bishop. You'll own that quarter of the board.

A little late, but the can says 緑茶 (pronounced 「りょくちや」or "ryokuchya") Alone, 緑 would be みどり or "Midori", and 茶 remains ちゃ "chya" Putting them together changes the pronunciation of the first character, but individually the characters quite literally mean (as you guessed) "green" and "tea" And yes, it's Japanese. If it were Chinese they use simpler characters and you would see the simplified 绿 character instead of the traditional 緑

9:43 Why not just bishop E4 it's free material. If bishop takes back on E4 rook takes on E4 if queen E4 queen E2; king F1, queen F2 checkmate? Please let me know what I'm missing.

Japanese characters are sometimes very similar to Chinese (sometimes exactly the same, but pronounced differently). This rule Usually applies. If the green tea is sweet, it’s Chinese, if it’s not, it’s usually Japanese.

In some ways this is a chess channel, but mostly it's the: "What is Eric Rosen drinking?" channel.
