I've actually learned to really love the Friendship evolution process. Most of my favourite Pokemon are Friendship evolutions but I used to despise trying to get them to evolve. But, I came to the realization that if I just run around for 2 hours, I could get super strong Pokemon especially in early game at really low levels. Imagine a level 10 Lucario.

Once upon a time I had a freind ball in swsh, and I wanted an Eevee. So I caught the Eevee in the freind ball. I was considering evolving my Eevee into leafeon for the water gym. But it ended up surpriseing me by evolving into Sylveon. I have used a sylvieion in every game since then except bdsp because Eevee isn't in it. Bdsp stupid like that.

I got an Eevee in Wondertrade and it evolved into Umbreon (was gonna evolve it into Sylveon but it started to evolve as a kid I didn't want to stop an evolution thinking it would put the friendship back to 0) and it made me love Umbreon even more.

The thing about Lead Scyther with Bugsy is, it knows U-Turn, so it's suppose to Outspeed and just U-Turn on Turn 1, go into 1 of the Cacoon's. Once you take out the 1st Cacoon, Scyther comes back out, and goes for the Outspeed U-Turn, into the 2nd Cacoon, once the 2nd Cacoon is defeated, then his Last Pokemon that comes out, traditionally, is Scyther! It's a really cool way to change how a Gym Leader sends out his/her Pokemon compared to other Leaders!

0:39 - Perhaps this choice was a clever call back to not only Gold and Silver's introduction of friendship but also how much more difficult it was to raise it back in Gen 2. Having all your Pokémon evolve so close together (particularly your recent Eevee) would never have happened in the originals. Great jokes, great rival nickname and the whole story theme throughout was entertaining. It was also funny how many moments reminded me (and you in some cases) of the Pokémon Amie feature such as 5:33, 7:42, 9:56, 15:40 and 19:48.

There were a few more things you could've added to the challenge to further the friendship theme: Only use pokemon who join you of there own free will (the gift kanya and shuckle are like this and if you have a pokewalker on a course but no pokemon in it there is a small chance a pokemon from that course will just join you all on its own, the Lapras in union cave counts since an npc says it's looking for a friend) Use as Manny friendship and emotion based attacks as possible Use a game with a bonding feature and use it very often (bonding features include pokemon Amie, refresh or camp) Do as Manny side modes with your pokemon as possible (contests, pokeathlon and the like, this is too form memories with the pokemon you wouldn't normally have in any other playthrough getting you more invested and emotionally attached to the pokemon)
