The way to do this with angel wings is to remove all attack and status attack magic from Rinoa other then ultima and comet. This will ensure that she will spam comet every round which will do around 70,000 damage If you have used meltdown. Give her auto haste and have triple junctioned to her speed to max out her speed stat. IF you do this ultima won't last more than 5 min the only problem with this strait is you can't have death junctioned to defense so you will need to have zombie casted on Rinoa Before the fight so she won't be killed by the lvl 5 death.

Love the actual no cheese fight with the boss.....that 15 up was super clutch.....been playing this game forever and beaten omega weapon in 5 different ways (in total in my life). Once with selphies THE END lol, one cheesing zells duel with 255 STR, once by using the gfs to take the 9998 flame attack, and twice by sheer dumb luck by legitimately trying to beat him with no cheese. Right now currently I'm on disk 3 doing the only method I haven't tried yet (do to the fact it takes a lot of time) by collecting all items the game has to offer like ribbons, friendships, ECT with Angelos search, and devouring all my characters status to max. Still working on it lol

Fun fact, the german version of the game changed the name of "Lionheart" limit attack to "Herzenzbrecher" = "Heartbreaker" ^^

You can beat Omega before he reaches the stage where he uses Terra Break. Key is to stack low HP with Aura for maximum crisis mode. This guarantees Wishing Star, 7-8 hit Renzokukens, max time for Shot and max time for Duel. It doesn't improve the odds of Lion Heart however; that still stays at 25%. Heal after the opening Meteor, and wait for Megiddo Flame to be used which reduces your party to 1 HP. You should already have Haste and Aura active on your party at this point, so now proceed to spam your limits on Omega till he bites the dust.

Can't you increase Lionhart if it's the only one you get? Other than Rough Divide of course. Same with only teaching Rinoa Invincible Moon and Wishing Star.

That's the way I do it too. Since Gravija can't kill you, you get some extra turns there. You only have to watch it for a random attack, and to heal before Terra Break (casting protect helps lower the damage by the way)

@@dn8750 You can indeed do that with Rinoa. But Squall gets all 4 of his finisher Limit Breaks from his Lionheart weapon, even if you upgrade directly from Revolver to Lionheart and skip the in-between weapons. So what you said doesn't work for him.

I remember FF8, played it with my best friend when it came out. We tag teamed that game for hours over the summer. We went secret hunting trying to get as close to 100% done as we could. Finally we decided to move on and beat the game, only to have a bug that made it so the door to the final boss wouldn't open. We never picked it up again.

Before watching the video: To beat this boss easily, auto-haste, auto shell, auto protect. cast triple, cast aura, prepare for the potions, and limit break for the win. The best lineup is Rinoa, Squall (I wish i could replace him though with Zell), and Irvine. Edit After a few minutes watching: Yup I still remember how to trash this boss even today.

Beat this boss legit with no cheese as a kid of 11 or 12. Took me literal weeks of attempts. One of my proudest gaming achievements lol. All I did was try my dead best to survive while praying to the rng gods that squall would keep popping lionheart haha. I also used questis (loved her just because she has a whip and I love whips in games) and also irvine though looking back I wasnt using him to his fullest at all. I remember I constantly used AURA. Thats all I remember now.

Yea, as already stated in previous comments...they're different bosses. They just look similar Ultima weapon actually uses Cloud Strifes ultima weapon. Omega doesn't use a sword...

It's a common error to make this fight is faster and Omega absorbed all elemental damages

This was awesome to watch. I beat this guy back in the day, but I did it by converting one of the Brothers cards (or I think it was one of those, may have been another) to get a whole stack of Heroes, so I had most of my party members invincible for just about the whole fight. It wasn't until a LOT later I learned about other strategies for beating him.

Memorising his attack pattern helps. And combine that with Armageddon Fist and Meltdown/Fast Ammo or Shockwave Pulsar you don’t need Hero drinks.

I definitely cheated to beat omega weapon when I was a teenager. I gave up my card in exchange for 99 Heroes and I casted meltdown, aura, hero, then limit breaks in that order. Then I’d recast whatever is need out of those until he dies. And for some reason I was always lucky because squall always performed lionheart. Omega weapon was a breeze with all those heroes.

Ultima Weapon was easy because I had LIONHEART. Omega Weapon is a whole different story, even with LIONHEART (w/HERO), The non-elemental GFs:EDEN, BAHAMUT, DIABLO, DOOMTRAIN MELTDOWN (better yet DOOMTRAIN), he's gonna push you beyond your limit.

Each series has a different way to unlock the super bosses. In each one there are multiple ways to slay the supers. True challenge: 7 , go in with cloud red and yuffie red and yuffie with lv4 limit break cloud with level 1 limit no higher then lv 25 no max materia . 8, go as high lv as possible ( higher the level you are the more difficult the game especially omega) no hero or holy war no limit no tier 4 magic, ie; ultima ,meteor , meltdown etc. 9, do excalibur run and immediately after unlock all chocobo upgrades and fight him at the level you are on and the equipment you have . 10 really no way to fight them in this one without being op anyway so may be tough to do a challenge on this one. 12, do the 112233 run itll take forever to take yiazmat down but its doable. 13 way too easy to challenge. 15 take on adamantoise without ring and no summon also no accessories and base weapons at lv 1. 14, any lv 70 ex trial solo.

All you need is the Gilgamesh card and you’re all good. I crushed this boss a few times back in the day. The best part is watching Squall do his limit break on it.

My strategy cast triple, then aura, only teach Squall Lionhart, use Rinoa only teach Invincible Moon and Wishing Star, doesn't matter who third person is but mine is Irvine due to insane fast ammo dmg. Rinoa provides the Invincibility and the teaching of only two ability makes the chances of ridiculous damage or invincibility high. Spam limit breaks weapon dies.

i remembered fighting this omega weapon in original playstation version, but not at this quick and tough one. the one in the playstation is very slow. eventually he does attack but not like this one frequently. I guess this remastered version is a lot tougher eh

Omega kicked my ass several times. You can also make the game stupid easy by leveling minimally. You can also get Squall's Lionheart sword on the first disc. But you won't be low level

Limit break spam with aura and lots of heroes is the way to go in ff8. In ff7 there’s the ultimate no button press wombo combo materia set. Both strats completely break their respective games.

There is a WAY simpler method that takes all of 60 seconds. Junction diablos to selphi with a maxed out compatability rating of 1000 for her, cast an aura on selphi, then select from the near limitless THE ENDS that will populate her limit break. And congrats you beat the "hardest" boss in the game. The second you try this trick with ultimacia's final form however, she immediately kills diablos if its junctioned to selphi preventing you from using this fun lawnmower technique.

There's an item can summon Phoenix if my memory serves well. The more you use it, the more chances Phoenix appears when all party members are dead.

Bro you need to turn the battle speed down in settings that's why he keeps getting multiple turns off in a row before you can do anything. Also he's not immune to spells, that's why Meltdown is doing damage, he just absorbs all elements like fire, ice etc. Elementless spells like Ultima still do damage.

Iirc i went into Battle with 1 HP on each character. Then just use the drink that makes you invincible and spam the limit Breaks. Easy fight

The problem I see is auto haste is on the wrong person and the fact you have Rinoa at level 100, when you should have all your party at 99. You have one free turn without any damage 99% of the time and with a angel winged Rinoa with Auto Haste with the Meteor spell as her only offensive spell, with a few Holy Wars just in case. Cast Meltdown, and let Rinoa use Meteor use the other two to heal and Omega Weapon should fall 99% of the time

If you've done everything right leading up to this battle it will be painfully easy. 1st. All triple-triad cards obtains through side quests.

2. Set up your summons so you can junction every thing to your main party. 3. 100 Meteor to HP on everyone to max their health 4. 100 uliuma, life, full life, protect to elemental defense (90% absorb every element) 5. Status defense: death, pain, whatever else you like

I haven't really played this game since it came out, tried to play it again a few years ago but got bored. Wasn't really in my top 5 of Final Fantasy games but because I have to 100% all the FF games (except FF9 because I won't speedrun it) I played I remember this being a pretty rough fight but I remember the last fight being really irritating. This game does however have one of the best soundtracks I still listen to often today.

He was hard for me cause I purposely maxed leveled to make him max level. And it was my first time fighting it which I wanted to try to do it with as little cheese as possible. However I can see this boss getting easier and easier the more you play it. It's still fun though, great first time experience for me
