Im a div 3/2 player and I ALWAYS play against player who a waaaay higher in the Rankings than me. Its so boring bc they play always the Same Meta Meta style, while I play a more Winger based style with beckham crossing it into the box. I want to play for fun, but the Game/players wont let me…

I get what you’re saying, I have a similar mixed possession and crossing type of play style too, but the game doesn’t favour people who play like that, skill moves have been nerfed, you barely get a chance to receive a pass before you’re marked aggressively.

Perfect match with my personal experience. I'm an older, occasional player. Currently division 3, last cycle div 2. I'm using GP, free and nominating contract players only. So once you are in div 3 and certainly 2, you are matched with these full meta squads, all playing generic matches as the game only seems to reward this type of gameplay. Pretty much like the "long ball over the top to fast players getting in behind"- gameplay Fifa had for years. The gameplay is different but the principles are the same. There is one way to play that has the highest chance of success so this is what is done over and over. And to make it worse, since these meta players are paying to win, their players are faster and stronger and have better AI. AI...such a nice word for what would be called scripted gameplay in the past. I love football games and despite everything, I keep playing them. Got my first winning eleven game on PS1 in the 90's (and Fifa 98) But in those 25 years, football games have never been in such a bad shape. Boring gameplay and microtransactions seem to be getting more attention than the actual game. PES was great in the early 2000's and then became rather crap until they decided to become a mobile game that was also released on some other platforms. Fifa or whatever it's called now has always been mediocre apart from some good editions betweenSo at the moment, there isn't a decent football game available and it would surprise me if the new game FIFA is making to grab more money would be anything but a moneygrab. Sad times for people who just want to play a couple of matches just for fun.

I found a great antimeta, go super hard and score a goal in 10 minutes then change formation to 5-4-1 with 3 dmf and a cmf, i call it ratatouille special. Important not to forget: all out defense and clear every time the ball is in ur half.

Imagine a game where players from all different positions had the same stats and players where just skins so there is no advantage having a meta team so all GKs have the same stats and so on

Stats don't mean much, player IDs, player skills and player models play a way bigger role. You want everyone to play with the same set of players? What's the fun in it? Where is the challenge? Even with both teams' players being the same stats, a meta guy can easily play meta and beat you.

Its a good thing the game doesnt allow 4 cb ! I have faced sweaty players that actually dont want to win coz they are below in ranking than me and are just happy with a draw as it still gives them points. Faced one today and I was sooo damn irritated.

Personally I've found that playing like Mourinho with long ball counter is the best for me since I have all the best defenders. A lot of players get stuck when they have no space in behind.

My problem is that I only get 3 bars connection for some reason, so I can't play possession and keep the ball, so I play one touch pass and usually win. However I get really frustrated with the game since most of my losses are due to connection. In division 4 I lost the first 4 games because I got to disconnected, so they were all considered a 3-0 loss. I don't what's the matter with the servers because I live in Algeria which is in North Africa, so EU servers should be fine for me just like in every other game.

@@toby4607 yeah I still had some laggy games with weird lag spikes (freezing game) especially when I am attacking. But less of "my team is running in mud with cinder blocks on their feet" 😄

The highest rated players on my team is a 4 🌟 players and those players are basically manual players there's no boost for them so this video is useless to anyone using regular low rated players
