Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. This I think is my absolute favorite cover of the U.S. albums. Plus the music on it is great too.

Having grown up with the reverb on She’s A Woman and I Feel Fine on the stereo Beatles ‘65 it took some getting used to when I first heard the UK mixes on the cds. I think She’s A Woman is one of the few songs that I still prefer the extra reverb on. I think it gives the intro a nice boost. So thank you Dave Dexter for that one I guess.

I think the reverb is interesting on those. I came up with the UK mixes as I came in to it all in the CD era. But discovering this version is very intriguing. I can’t say I prefer it. But I like having it as a different listening option.

Well Heeyyy theeere! I really love these daily 6 days of US Monos! Playhouse has multiple Beatles story lps....One is on i think late 80s rainbow label....you can tell as the vinyl is very thin on those......my other is an apple bought of course in early 70s.....the boxset is still sealed as playhouse wanted it for display but plays all the originals that are very sentimental to me......cheers my friend playhouse member Beatle Dustino!

Very cool. It seems hard to find those Apple label ones in the wild. Great sounding collection there in the playhouse. Enjoy those originals.

Your Stereo ‘65 is from between 1983-1988. 1983 was when Capitol slightly updated the Rainbow design.

Thanks for letting me know. I now know how to see that better.

Your Beatles '65 is an eighties pressing. The way you can tell is the rim print is inside the rainbow area on the label.

Thanks for letting me know that. I used to try to catalog all these right away in Discogs, but it’s getting harder and harder for me to read those run outs.

(Tom again.) I notice "The Hollyridge Strings" LP picture on the inner sleeve. I have the first four of those albums in my record collection. Stu Phillips does a great job with all the Beatles tunes. Have you listened to those first 4 albums of Beatles Hits by them? I think you will like the arrangements, Sir. Take care!!

I’ll have to look for those. My parents do have a Beatles classical album in their collection, but think it’s a Decca label. They got it when my dad was stationed in Germany. I think it’s a UK pressing.

Well Heeeyy There Man: I've been really digging your videos all week! I wanted to comment on this one though. The stereo pressing you have is a rainbow label from sometime between 1983 to 1986. In 1987 the U.S. versions were discontinued... almost. Capitol very quietly did a brief, final run of the U.S. L.P.'s in 1988 on a newly designed purple label. I say "newly designed" because they used a much smaller logo at the top of the label and changed the numbering. The covers now included a barcode on the back and the Gold Record Award logos were eliminated from the front covers. The new numbers carried a C1 prefix. I have two albums from this series: "The Beatles' Second Album" C1-90444 and The White Album C1-46443. I don't have very many original pressings. I have an original "Meet The Beatles" in mono which belonged to my wife's family when she was growing up - it's really, really beat! I have an original "Beatles VI" in mono that's in really beautiful shape. I did my Beatles record buying mainly in the 1980's, so mine are either purple label copies from between 1978 to '82, or rainbow labels from between '83 to '86. They were all stereo of course, but I always wanted mono copies! Mono was phased out in 1968. I turned six years old in 1968, I certainly wasn't buying records for myself yet, let alone thinking about stereo vs. mono; but as I got older I really wanted decent mono copies. I compared the "Meet The Beatles" and "The Beatles Second Album" covers to the ones I already had, and I think the covers on the new pressings look fantastic! It makes me wonder if they went back to the original negatives of each individual picture and actually reconstructed the covers, because they look superb compared to my other copies! I can't speak for the remaining albums because I haven't bought them yet, but those two look great! I enjoy your videos very much and look forward to more in the years to come! Take care. Nate

Thank you so much. Glad you’re enjoying the videos. The photos on these new ones do look fantastic. Good luck finding the monos. It’s been fun trying to find one of each. I do have another Meet the Beatles, but it’s also a mono.

I think that vintage one u have is the 80s re release of the capitol rainbow label. I have a copy of let it be and help from the 80s and the rainbow label looks the same. On the original rainbow labels the manufactured by capitol is in the black part of the label and on the 80s rainbow it is in the outer rainbow part

@@BeatleDustino I am an avid collector of the us albums. My grandparents grew up on them and gave me all of their vintage ones but they were pretty beat up so I looked for a later 70s through the 80s pressing.

@darthwarren4599 very nice. Wish my parents had some more of these. But it is fun hunting them down.

Mr Moonlight is a vocal killer from John and I alike it. I go to the record stores and browse through the dollar bins for old Capitol albums and buy them just for the inner sleeves if mint, then I use to sell them on Feebay...so if you are missing original inners for your Beatles that is a way to do it on the cheap. take care

IMHO killer vocal for sure, but cheesy song.

That is a great pro tip! I have to remember to be on the lookout for those now.

@rogerskillin8385 it is a bit cheesy, but yes, the vocals are fantastic. Love the version on the Anthology where he keeps getting the opening wrong.
