Beatles take a canal cruise, Amsterdam june 1964

Saturday June 6, The Beatles board the tour boat Jan van Galen at half past eleven at the Doelen Hotel for their later legendary tour through the Amsterdam canals. They are greeted by 50,000 fans and the police have deployed 15.000 troops. The footage of the trip, in which heated fans enthusiastically jump into the canals and are fished out of the water by the police before reaching the boat with The Beatles, have become historical.
