What’s good beatMakers! It’s been brought to my attention that there is a work around for recording from KZbin directly into the iPad without any xtra accessories. And yes, for KZbin this can be done using screen record. I do it all the time with my iPhone to capture bits of footage from my videos for social media post. But this video was made to show how to get audio from an external source into BeatMaker 3 using the sampling process and KZbin was chosen as an example. Hope this has cleared up any confusion. 👍🏾✌🏾😌

What am I missing here? I've been able to get the music directly from KZbin to my iPad/iPhone for at least the past 5 years...you can just Google KZbin to mp3 and download the song directly to your iCloud drive. The same thing works for Soundcloud.

You have to download the whole song that way. There are hour long videos that I would want to sample from but I don’t want to download a whole video and go fishing for it, and have to use a wave editor to reduce the size etc..

When sampling from a "famous source", creating a looped beat, and placing it into a youtube video as your own creation... do you have to cite the sampling source in your credits to avoid the copyright infringement strike? Or is it just a creative nod to show respect to the original source?

With all these cords & adapters, this is a “long way” to get it done. I have another “long way” but it’s all internal, no cords. On my laptop I simply use “record what you hear” from my Sony Soundforge Studio then simply use that mp3 file. This cord method is excellent for patch-cord instruments and mics.
