Thank you for the great videos. I'm an old crusty piece of shi7 man. Old but still got flavor. Been out of the music thing for years, tired of playing in bands and wanting to do my own producing work. Thank you for your tutorials.

Thanks for the video. It made me realize that this not only works for the pads, it works for the tab for sample mapping to keys. I’m in the process of sampling instruments from my original 2001 Yamaha Motif. Every time I use the sounds, I would have to map each note to the keys. Now, once I save the mapping to a bank, I can just pull in the instrument bank, and it will automatically go to the keys. You just saved me a lot of time, Bruh!!!!!

I brought BM3 over a year ago, messed around with it and never really got on with it! Then fast-forward to last Xmas, and got me a Roland MC-707 (finally had more time to do more music!) which is a great bit of kit but the sampling on it is a little under featured, so I’m thinking “I’ll chop up and edit beats and samples then bounce them over via usb! And I gotta say BM3 is perfect!!! There’s a ton of (good) tutorials out there but I gotta say your videos really do hit the mark. Well structured, clear and concise and have been a great help to me to look at this app in a totally different light

Say you have a drumloop and you want chop it to individual drum pads. How do it fast? I think on MPC you can just open sample and chop it right away and it will assign to individual drum pads automatico.

Thank you for the video. To refine those starting and end points, other than using your fingers, is there another way to do it? Is there a dedicated feature on BM3 that will give you fine control over that? Thank you, Mark, and Happy New Year to you.

Hey man Great vid...I got a ?...whats better overall...a mpc live or x or ab ipad with bm3? I bought a live a year ago and took it back the next day when i realized it had almost nothing for instruments...I was loving my maschine mk2 and all the instruments and didnt understand that mpc wasnt really about instruments but rather sample based...i wanted to unplug from the computer and the wasnt really any instrument expansions worth me keepin the live for...im learning about this incredible world of Ipad production now and bm3 seems awesome...dont know yet if its great with vst instruments yet but ipad has other options like cubasis where i can use plugins and vsts etc. for production. But when it comes to the mpc live/x vs ipad/bm3 im looking at bm3 like it looks way better...what are your thoughts please...thanks and you just got a subscriber.
@marcuselbow
@marcuselbow 4 жыл бұрын
What’s up Brent?! I have all three in question, BM3, Machine MK3 and the MPC live. I love them all but if I had to chose one I would go with the iPad just because of the flexibility! You can make beats (BM3) you can record vocals and mix (CB3) and edit music videos if that’s your thing (LumaFusion). Get the iPad bro you want regret it! 🙏🏽👍🏾✌🏾

@@marcuselbow yes i am getting the ipad pro as my next studio investment..im looking at luma and affinity and bm3 and cubasis like i look at sophia vergera...But i was just curious about the mpc hardware vs ipad bm3 oppinion...i know the pad is vesatile but if all the pad could do was run bm3 would people prefer it? It looks way better to me from the outside...anyways man good stuff and you got a fan...blessings

Can anyone tell me how to make it so that when I use my pads, hitting one pad stops the playback of another?
@marcuselbow
@marcuselbow 4 жыл бұрын
It’s called “Choke Group” found in the sample section. Assign a pad to a choke group and all pads that are in that group will cancel one another out! Hope this helps bro bro!

Is this better than mpc one?
@marcuselbow
@marcuselbow 4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have the MPC one but I do own the MPC live. So, I feel that owning an iPad “BM3” is a better long term investment because you gain access to more music making tools/apps verse just having one machine that does a few things well. I love my MPC but if I had to choose I would go with the iPad first! Hope this helps bruh! 🙏🏽👍🏾✌🏾
@12tribes61
@12tribes61 4 жыл бұрын
elbowMedia Studios thanks man yes the mpc one is the same as live. So the bm3 can do all the things live can do but better? Can you export your completed song on the bm3 as mp3 or wav file?
@marcuselbow
@marcuselbow 4 жыл бұрын
No doubt! You can export stems as well as entire songs from BM3. It’s a great app for making beats bro. Is it better than the MPC Live/X/One...that really depends on the producer’s style, feel and preference. ✌🏾
@12tribes61
@12tribes61 4 жыл бұрын
elbowMedia Studios yeah I okay with tablets! As long as there is no limit to sampling and making beats/songs it’s cool! You can even get samples from KZbin right and load it into BM3? I know the mpc live /one is good for sampling
