True... I've worked in Reason since it first came out, and with the adding of VST's etc. i feel pretty confident i can do some serious stuff on sound design. That being said, i'm lucky enough that i got a somewhat nice studio which helps and goes a long way BUT it still comes down to the mind behinde the screen. I've seen 14 yrs. old kids doing crazy stuff on crappy equipment.. My favorite synth which helps a lot in my productions is Serum, combined with LFO tools and Infected Mushrooms plugins from Polyverse❤️🙏🏼🔥

I have a way to make the kontrol series work in reason...thinking about making a tutorial. Basicly you add the kontrol as a normal midi device,but for the transport it uses mackie protocol,so add a mackie controller and push play on the transport and it will be mapped. Loop won´t work as it sends ´end as a mackie instructies,just click loop in reason to map midi knobs to,click loop on the kontroller and then it will work. You ca go further and add metronome,dub/alt anything you can map is possible to the 8 buttons on top,and leave the knobs with midi cc to map them to a few functions. BuT choosing the kontrol instrument works by choosing instance,but you have to select the track manually. Now one thing,i hope ni and reason studios work together to make the kontrol keyboard fully compatible. The remote protocol dates from reason 2.5...not much people still use the korg kontroller,or the old maudio 25 keyboard...it needs an update,then reason and komplete will be heaven together. Also i can´t wait for maschine to support vst3, running reason instruments,fx,players etc in maschine will be awesome,and save cpu (vst3 sleep feature)
@HOLLASOUNDS Жыл бұрын
Cant you just put the Kontrol VST in a Combinator then control it from there?

Yes come back to Reason, 12 is dope HD 4k graphics you can put Reason on a huge wide screan TV looks great. If you budget enough money to buy the whole suite kontrol keyboard komplete 13ue, mashine mk3, don’t forget to budget for a massive computer hardware upgrade minimum ssd, nvme preferred, at least 8 core cpu, 32GB ram, basically u need 3k of disposable income.... i no longer have a wife! 🤣

Unless you're running an excessive amout of plugins at once, You do not need all that to run Komplete. I'm using a $600 laptop with 16gb ram and 4 core Ryzen 5 processor and I use Hybrid Keys as well as a bunch other Komplete stuff just fine.
