Sketches: Khrysis Makes a Hip-Hop Beat With Samples and MASCHINE+ | Native Instruments

Hip-hop beat king and longtime MASCHINE user Khrysis shows you how to sample off vinyl and your phone, chop drums, flip samples, create a bassline, and export it all to your DAW of choice. He also talks about his creative process and gives us a look at the beatmaking skills he’s put to use for Sean Price, Conway the Machine, Busta Rhymes, De La Soul, Jean Grae, Evidence, and on his new album, The Hour of Khrysis.
As part of North Carolina’s Jamla Records and Soul Council (alongside 9th Wonder and Nottz), Khrysis is back on the boards with the heat, making a hot beat for our Sketches series using MASCHINE+, MONARK & the KOMPLETE KONTROL S49 keyboard, plus a melodic sample from fellow Soul Council member Sndtrak.

I've never used Maschine before, but given that he dropped the full track onto one channel in Pro Tools, is there a quick way to separate all the channels if someone needed the multi-track for mixing? Would he have to do that thru Maschine, or does Pro Tools have a function to do that quickly? I've only used MPCs and Logic Pro.
