Hello, thank you for an informative review. Can I give some feedback. During the review, 99% of the review the controller takes up 5% of the screen. In most shots I can see the turntable which has nothing to do with the review more than the actual controller. Maybe cut to a wide angle every so often, but we want to see the controller more, so top down shot of the controller alone would be better for most part of the review. 👍🏻

I just bought one, a week after I bought a mixon 8. I have no idea what I'm doing with this stuff. I always hated the scratching stuff as I have a thrash metal background. I thought scratching was easy and any idiot could do it. I've never been more wrong in my life. I have a long way to go with this scratching stuff.

Actually it does NOT seem to work with Spotify, I had to get Tidal which was a bit annoying. But pleasantly surprised how good Tidal actually is

Unfortunately in the 3 years since this video was made, Spotify removed access from all third-party applications… including DJ software :(

the button to switch to filter in on the back that is very weird why not put it on the front? on my Reloop Touch the switch is in the middle of the DJ controller which is fine but putting it on the back that is the only thing i don't like about it

Great Review! Very useful recommendation about which type of DJing it's good for. I'm actually thinking about obtaining a Beatpad 2 (or maybe Mixtour) to use until Algoriddm has fixed the integration btw djay Pro 2 and Pioneer DDJ-1000. For once, I seem to be lucky (pricewise) to be living in Sweden since the Beatpad can be bought here for a little around USD450 and the Mixtour below USD200! (;o)

I have a 9th gen ipad and it does not fit in the slot. But it still uses the lightning cable so I'm not sure about using the usb-c with it. If you get this I would recommend getting Reloop tablet stand. It works well In conjunction with the beatpad2

good review thanks. 599 is a bit steep. for small set ups i can use the wego and djay app. much cheaper. also the djay app also had other controllers people can use including the popular SB3. but it is a really cool looking kit. have fun. at the 399 price point it will be a great buy for any one. heck i will pick one up for that price :)

The Beatpad 2 is already available for 406 euros, the Wego 4 costs almost 300 euros. So the difference is ~100 euros. The Beatpad 2 has more functionality/features, professional XLR outputs and an AUX input..the main advantage of the Wego 4 is that it's even more compact than the already compact Beatpad 2, which at the same time is a disadvantage ergonomicly speaking (small buttons, short pitch fader and smaller pads). Another plus of the Wego 4 is that it has a Rekordbox license included. The Wego 4 doesn't look very professional though, when you step into payed gigs. I've looked at the Wego 4, for its small size, but now am trying to decide between Beatpad 2 and the 4-channel Mixon 4 (which can also fit a larger iPad Pro)...

The included dongle is supposed to keep the iPad charged through its single connection to the device via Lightning, but it came out before the iPad Pro, which obviously doesn't use Lightning connection (and might have greater power requirements). I'm not aware of one specific for this unit, but a general "small controller" bag should do the trick. I know TheDJHookup.com has one on their site that mentions the Beatpad specifically as being compatible, though at the time I checked, it was out of stock.
