I know it's basic but worth noting that you need to set your crossfader curves to steep for this - take it out of the blend setting and set it as close to cut as you're comfortable with.

Great video bro, definitely gotta lotta practice to do on my crabs, been using two fingers, doin some kinda crab/transformer/swirl type deal.... Lol.... Bahahahaha... But I'm definitely gettn alot better with my transformers & with doin this repetitively with two fingers, but my third finger keeps funkn up my routine, or I wont hear the actual third note, for whatever reasoning behind my practicing, but im slowly getting there.... Thanx homie, sounds amazing, your a great skratch DJ...... Respex Big Upz Mad Love to the DJs....... 👍👌💪🔥💯😎

Hey bro this has been one of the hardest ones for to do, what advice do you have to loosen up the tension. In your fingers if so?
@FaderFlosser
@FaderFlosser 8 жыл бұрын
if you scratch hamster(reverse) you technically can't crab, you can only do a three click flare. instead of cutting the sound on three times, you are cutting the sound off three times starting and ending with the fader open. also you get 4 notes in hamster while you get 3 in standard. no one ever mentions this. nice bid!
@themrschantz

Yea I have been cutting my entire life Standard style and just recently tried Crabs via Hamster and found It's the similar as far as thumb/spring feel but the sound is different. In fact I like the way the Hamster crab cuts sound better than Standard Crabs. Or should I call this cut a 3 click flare, whatever

Have you seen Q tutorial? He invented the crape or crab scratch. He extended the twiddle by using ring finger. It's the same almost. The thumb allows the sound to bounce in the fingers are shutting the sound off. Non hamster thumb is closing fingers opening. So you can CRAB hamster. Keep scratching

@@barrywatts8501 Yes we all know the story of the Crepe/Crab scratch :)
@FaderFlosser
@FaderFlosser 4 жыл бұрын
@@barrywatts8501 That's not the point though... Both ways you are using your thumb as a spring but you are turning the sound OFF three times in hamster and turning the sound ON three times in standard. In hamster you are flaring and in standard you are crabbing... Even though you are doing the same hand motion they are two very different scratches...peace
