You break it down in great detail! I've been doing closed crabs over the years and wondered why my crabs been sounding so jagged and discontinuous while my other friends could crab so fluidly. I would try to crab faster but it didn't make a difference. Thanks for explaining this! My crabs are now sounding more like 3 click flares!!

@chetrok111 жыл бұрын
practice on your fingers mimicking the scratch w/o the fader and soon enough you will get the clicking down ..also heads up a lot of dj's use the ring finger the middle and lastly the index..its just easier.some peoples fingers aren't the same and may prove too hard to swipe all 4 fingers.hope that helps
@nxvx53615 жыл бұрын
I have a Mixars Cut MKII and i still cant make 3 or even the 4 sounds when i hit with fingers. Have to try and find the right curve adjustment. Shit is difficult.

when i do closed crab, do i have to close the fader after each finger hits it?
@LauchEleven12 жыл бұрын
@DJAngeloUK Hey Angelo, I have a little problem with this scratch technique: I do the 4 finger movement with the crossfader (I am using a Vestax PMC 05 Pro 3), but i cannot hear 4 clear sounds, only about one, maybe two seperate sounds.crossfader is on his sharpest: Can you, or maybe someone else here, tell what I am doing wrong ? (sry for shitty english) Because I think that I have to move the crossfader too wide into the middle, so that it does't close before the next finger touches it thx :)
@JMJC113 жыл бұрын
@joemyersjr its just he prefers his fader reversed, its the same movement as using the up-faders. hamster style, named after the bullet proof scratch hamsters (quest, cue, eddie def, marz, eddie k)
@TheParlayer7911 жыл бұрын
For scratching which mixer would you recommend, the vestax pmc 05 pro 3? Or a Rane 56s?
