All music goes through aux channel? So Radio, Bluetooth from phone, Sirius xm, how is that affected from CarPlay? Also I noticed you said audio up and down on remote is not present on CarPlay, does that affect seeing the display on radio, xm, Bluetooth ?

Correct when using carplay, all music and application sounds will push through AUX channel. You can still use the other sources like normal. If you want to listen to the radio while in carplay mode you can do so by changing the source to radio and switching to carplay mode. However you won’t hear the turn by turn directions from carplay. To solve this, download the radio application on the phone so that you can listen to the radio and hear turn by turn directions at the same time

I’ve watched several videos about the Es. Why does it seem like each video has different directions, in other videos you never took off the screen and glove box. Also all this wiring seems different compared to a video when you speak about the io4ep pre video , something like that

IF-04EP and the Carplay are two different products. They both also install differently as well. IF-04EP is a phone mirroring system whereas Carplay kit allows carplay.
