Ive been an expedition kayaker for over 20 years. Ive done some big trips. This is the best series on expedition kayaking I have ever seen. It captures the spirit and feel of a long trip better than I have ever seen. Good job!

The meaningless sort of resonates way too much when your by yourself and you just wanna share it... you know" Damn Beau, these words really hit me hard. As cliche as it is, balance is key. Many great lessons in traversing alone but I think fundamentally we as humans aren't designed to do it all alone

I think it's likely because the YT algorithm hugely favors people who upload frequent, lower quality videos. Someone who uploads 300+ videos a year will make YT infinitely more ad revenue. It's unfortunate.

Some part of me wants Beau's channel to blow off, some part not, just like when you find an awesome restaurant but don't want to share it with anyone in fear of waiting lines. But well, there are no such things on KZbin! I almost finish watching all of your videos and trying to prolong it further because of I am afraid that there will be nothing more to watch until next month (?). But Beau's videos are worth a rewatch anytime. Thank you Beau's parents and environment for raising such a great man! Thank you Beau for sharing your wonderful moments with us!

One time, I was on the light rail in Seattle, heading to the airport. Two people got on at a stop near downtown. Each of them had a large pack and a kayak. I’m not from Seattle, so I presumed that it was normal.

I'm new to your channel, but I'm glued...bring it on! (I waited until I was in my 60s to get a kayak. I wasn't strong enough to get it on the roof of my car so I got an inflatable. I'm a fair-weather kayaker, and love it. I feel like a dolphin, or one of those flying fish, whatever, it's the freedom, the achievement of making it happen..

Beau, any particular reason you all paddle kayaks with a rudder?? Here in northern Europe we are mostly inspired by the British tradition an we paddle kayaks with a skeg. I have one of each. I must admit I prefer the ruddet!!!

The mirrage rudder is terrible in following seas...no where near deep enough and the hatches will pop off when you dump as they are secured with bungy
