I love sea kayaks, they're so beautiful. And you guys are the true kayak kings. It's amazing to take a 4 day or more kayak/Camp trip. Me and my 3 buddies have 14ft solo skiffs. I fish in marathon Florida, in the keys, the flats and Backcountry. But 4 times a year, we do 4 camp/fish trips. We meet up in our trucks and always pick a different island to camp out on. Loading your vessel with your add-ons, electronics, accessories, etc. We all have motors and a small bow trolling motor. But packing my one man tent, water, food, emergency supplies always on board. Lithium batteries for charging, cell phones, my drone, go pro, and extra usb's I've installed. And yes sometimes we paddle. The Paddle is always on board. But a skiff moves, pretty smooth through water, most of the time. Well we all enjoy the ocean our different ways.. Stay safe my friends. 🙏 🌊 🛶

Your preparation and thoughts behind your food and water rationing. What kinds of food? Calorie intake etc? Land water sources?
@BeauMiles7 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty basic now-a-days and can eat cous cous for weeks at a time (breakfast and dinner, spruced up with chilli, pepper and Parmesan) with a tin of chilli con-carne for lunch), . Matt was a bit more gourmet, Dan in the middle somewhere and Craig and Paul ate food from Mars (in vac sacs). All pretty rudimentary, topped up with local fish.

Really interesting to see you plan and execute your travels. Was curious as to what kind of encounters do you have with whales or fish. Me being scared of sharks, this would cripple me to try and do. Being around One if the biggest concentration of great whites would make me crap my pants
@BeauMiles4 жыл бұрын
No whales or sharks on this one. THey are typcially always there, but you often don't see the full spectrum of life around you, with blinkers on, looking forward. And after a while a shadow or particular chunk of water movement looks like anything and everything, so you soon loose trust in what you're. (My Gray Whale encounter in South Africa only happened because someone else also witnessed it- otherwise, I was simply seeing something that looked like a whale!)

I'm sorry but vegemite is just wrong. It's not even a patch on marmite (the Real stuff), its only about half as strong so tastes pretty weak aswel having a strange none beefy flavour that we've become accustomed to expecting so was just a disappointment to be honest. I'm guessing ausies swear by it being better than marmite because they've either grown up with it so it's really familiar to them, or, they know nothing about the superior quality of the good stuff so are simply unaware of the peasantry of vegemite, I mean there's no other acceptable reasons as to why anyone would even suggest something so ridiculous and even imply that marmite doesn't whoop vegemites arse. I felt like this needed to be explained properly once and for all by a man who, let's be honest, just Knows about these things! 🤣 Ok? Ok! I'm glad we talked about this, and, you're welcome. Cheers to all. God bless 👍🏻.
