In the areas that we detect there seems to be a lot of variation in the ground noise with the Mono. So I fitted the DD on my second trip...gives a definite signal on the smallest gold possible and the extra size isn't a problem on the light weight detector. Apart from thick charcoal and some black soil every signal is a definite metal signal. Glenn Conroy

My observation is that you need to be out on the gold every week or very regularly to find gold. You also need to be in areas where gold has been found. I love getting out but closest area for prospecting for me is at least hour and half traveling. Cheers mate

It's all about dedication. You can make your money back and some but lots of walking and digging. I bit the bullet and went a gpz7000 10-11k and the very first weekend I pulled 15k in gold. Keep in mind I already had years of detecting/prospecting experience.
