Part 2 of our adventures with Jim and Dani ( @i_dig_it_melbourne ). This was the highlight of the day for us, digging in Jim's gold mine. It was scary, but fun and as Glenn said we took a calculated guess and considered our safety before going into the mine. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy the vid and all the best! Cheers, Ant & Glenn - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Knocking targets out of he wall/ roof is some of the most exciting gold prospecting possible. You really start to understand why the first prospectors dug such great big holes chasing the gold! Wonderful trip team. Have a safe, happy and prosperous new year!!👍

Hey boys glad to see the vids, moved to queensland its brutal up here the bush is totally locked out, the government gives one mullock heap to dig in a designated area, so ridiculous, you can ride motorbikes, 4wd, but god forbid you scratch a hole!, keep the bush open in vic,the government is very concerned you might get an untaxed dollar, keep the vids coming , its keeping me sane, cheers
@victoriangoldhunters23 күн бұрын
Cheers mate! It’s a shame about the QLD rules, here’s hoping you’re able to find some gold even with the restrictions, hope VIC doesn’t get like that but they are trying to lock us out too 😢😢

Well done guys. at one point when Glenn was digging in the roof of the mine I instantly thought this is something I’ve seen on the road runner cartoon, Where everything around collapses and the part where he was digging would still be there 😂😂, Great episode guys thanks for sharing 👍

WOW what a experience to be able to dig in the mine, and to find gold left behind. I'm with Jim though, I definitely wouldn't go in or dig there I'd be to worried it would collapse. All the same well done ✅ another fantastic video guys keep them coming

Well done, that contact zone needs crushing, could be loaded with fine gold, but be careful as it looks like the key stone holding the backs up(not roof😉). Looks like the 14 inch DD does the job, mine still in the packet. Cheers Craig ⛏️🍺

Fantastic part 2, Ant, Glenn, Ken, Jim, Dani. An exceptional privilege shared by Jim to share the underground mine delights, and a lovely patch of goldfields bush, a lucky country prime example. The old adage that gold rides into town on an iron horse, the ironstone just under the quartz was amazing to see and understand, and agreeing with Pete the fine crumble would contain possibly a lot of fine gold, and a good question whether they'd crushed and smelted on-site or carted off for refining. A bucket list experience for you all, and may 2025 bring many more unexpected delights for you to share with us all! Jebedali, naprijed - idemo vani! Gabi of Narre Warren.

Cheers Gabi, it was a real bucket list experience for sure! Glad you enjoyed part 2! Would be interesting to crush some of the quartz for sure!! Jim is a lucky man. Would love to head back one day and could try and rest some of the material in a crusher. Cheers and all the best for 2025 😁🥳🤗🤩🍾

Hi fellas, I always have a piece of hessian bag to put on the ground under where I am chipping and I always have two rock chisels, one pointy and one wide one (about one inch) and a small club hammer. They go with me whenever I am prospecting, panning or whatever even though they do make extra weight. Like you work.

Well done to everyone, it looks like you all had a great day out. That was great getting gold straight from the reef, there would be a lot of fine gold mixed with the detectable gold, would be great to get the quartz you were chipping off and crush it, I'd say you would have a nice golden smile. Cheers Pete
