I expect we'll meet with Rost. The way he died and the fact that the Nora is not an NCIS, and that eventually his death is the best cover for his disappearance what he wanted to do. So he may still alive and be gone to the Forbidden West.

Sylens did give Aloy his own lance. He must've did something to the lance beforehand to make sure it would capture Hades for himself.

If you finish all of the major sidequests, allies from those sidequests would show up at different points during the final battle or in the 'inspect the defenses' optional missions before Aloy's nap prior to the final battle. One of the only games I played that rewards you for doing all the quests. Definitely a favorite of mine.

The more side quests you complete, the more allies are there for you at the final battle. You can talk to all of them beforehand

Four games I have really enjoyed; This game, the Witcher 3, RDR2, and the Mass Effect series. Something that strikes me is how these, and other great works of art, demonstrate how happiness is not sufficient to describe the meaning of life. Depth and character, the juxtaposition of sorrow and joy, love and hate, and fear and courage. Without the negative the positive would also be lost. Meaning exists only in the confrontation of the full spectrum of experience. Just a thought.

Glad you guys enjoyed the game. The story is really intriguing. And not impossible to imagine honestly. I'm glad I've rewatched your playthrough to remind myself how it all went down. Now I'm so freakin' ready for Forbidden West. Wish we didn't have to wait till February. Like you I hope we get more on Rost's past. Looks like we'll get to see new civilizations and technology as well. But I hope we also find out how all of our friends are doing as well.

I should also really finish the Frozen Wilds I don't think I ever did. I do remember the machines there were even more difficult so I probably just put it off and forgot :D. I do know the DLC is really good as well.

Khopesh units, again, have 6 legged 360 degrees kind of mobility and turnarounds. (01:03:02). ropecaster is useless against that kind of machine.

I don't think Sylens will be a villain because what he said after he and Aloy saw the death of the Alphas. He has his games, he wants knowledge and power, but I guess he's a good man, eventually. I expect that he will be Aloy's ally, again, against the Riders.

You also got to remember her never really had an arc, he stayed mostly the same throughout the game. So when he said, trust is for fools, shared interests is how relationships work. He meant that, so if his and Aloy's goals don't align he probably would have no issue fighting her to get what he wants.

But story writers can think different, it just would not life-like that Sylens was a villain after we saw him caring about humanity, knowledge, and peace, by being against violence in the Sun-Ring.

Another epic journey comes to a close... or at least the first part of it. Anyway, the game itself looks like a ton of fun. Some parts kinda dragged, but the lore they crafted was really intriguing and the story was solid. Definitely looking forward to what Forbidden West has in store and where the second chapter of Aloy's journey will take her.

It says in the game that Odyssey was destroyed - but it's unclear if that's true - completely or partially. Presumably it is lost in terms of the people. However, Odyssey contained a mostly complete version of Apollo. One Ted Faro probably didn't get a chance to destroy. If that Apollo even partially exists, perhaps it can awaken other useful parts. It's also worth noting that the Frozen Wilds DLC has another entity - a friendly one - that Aloy saves. It's name was Cyan.

(03:52). basically having an OPERATION: ENDURING VICTORY soldier stand there from afar, with the usual ultraweaving shield around them, while lethal laser, railgun shots, Kinetic bullets, explosions, direct rocket launcher hits, etc impacts against a live Human. (but of course fortunately they have man-held energy shields now at least, a Millennia ago for them). [chuckled nervously] except for that third test. energy shielded strengths on the leg area was....not too durable enough. '13%' or something compared to the rest of the body parts being almost 100% defensive levels. that soldier isn't going to be walking around naturally any time soon during their final Months of a breathable Earth. [cringed a bit at the image]

The thing is the fire bow is the most useful weapon to actually overheat deathbringers which you REALLY NEED TO DO as they has a ridiculously high defense and they take extra damage when you hit the weakpoints exposed when they overheat.
