Dubuque is even more beautiful in person . The bluffs are awesome and the downtown looks so cool when you’re in it.

One of my favorite things of being a nomad is coming to a new area and it being nothing like what I expected. When you think of Iowa you think "ahh that's nothing but flat cornfields" but those bluffs near the river are amazing. Every state has cool places and nice beauty if you just look

Galena is a beautiful town there’s so much to do .. chestnut mountain, horse riding, the museums, the hills of Galena , the wine cellars outside Galena, the waterfalls, the oldest house and buildings, the brick streets, the overlooking staircase- their food ,the candy popcorn and ice cream shops are a must .. you need to go back

I'm 52 years old Japanese. I lived in Dubuque for four years from the age of 19 to 22 and graduated from the University of Dubuque as an international student studying business. For me, Dubuque is my second home, and it is an important place filled with fond memories of my youth. I also love Galina and went there about 20 times during my stay in Dubuque. My dream now is to travel across the United States in a camper van like Robert-San. Although it is far away from Japan and expensive, I am making plans based on Robert's videos. At that time, of course, I would like to stop by Dubuque again. I will do my best to make that dream come true.

"I forgot my hiking shoes..." Where have I heard that before? Ha! :-) I camped on the bluffs overlooking the river years ago a bit further north at Pikes Peak State Park. That whole area along the Mississippi is well worth a visit. Thanks for taking us along for the ride again. Happy Trails!

This is my favorite part of our country. I was lucky enough to live in Lake City, MN for 15 years. Driving up and down the river roads and traveling to places like Galena made me happy. The small towns along the way are beautiful, too.

My 2 1/2 year old grandson is demanding we get him a camper he sings your song and immediately asks to see Robert when he walks in door. He loves vehicles 🚗 and is essentially in love with the Mini Tinies and your truck! He says I go Roberts Truck 🛻 so cute. Love your channel. I think it’s educational so I let him watch as much as he wants. He notices wild life and different terrain then he’s seen in New England. He says 🌵 cactus now and has never seen one in person yet!

A favorite local brewery beer of mine is Huber Bock. I had a tavern in Dyersville in the early 80's when that Dubuque brewery was still running. These were just old local breweries long established before the current micro brewery craze got started.

Thanks for a great video! This past summer my friend and I rode our motorcycles to Nelson Dewey State Park which is just north of Petosi. We camped there a few days and took day trips around the area. We’ve done this quite a few times as I live in central, IL and he lives in Minneapolis, it’s almost perfectly half way between us. Great area and the ride north along the river to LaCrosse is spectacular!

I use to go to Dubuque Ia all the rime but only for work. I was a truck driver and loaded out of the John Deere Plant there . The company had a drop lot next to an ole abandon Brewery that I was old once belonged to Al Capone . The owners wanted to tear it down and the locals wanted to keep it for historical reasons. I never got a chance to tour the town and see the sites so it is nice to see what I have been missing.
