I love it but can't seem to find a supplier. Does this work on fabric? I usually always work using many mediums to blank fabric to add a unique touch to the textiles I'm making. This looks so simple it would easily cut my costs down. Thank you for the tutorial especially the photo as I am making a memory wall quilt and I have it in mind to make my centre piece using Gelli and a photo for his wife. Brilliant.

Lorraine Cooper it depends a bit on the texture of the fabric you’re using but it is possible on fabric. What is it you can’t find a supplier for?

Yes you can, but the fabric will get a bit sturdier and if it has a lot of texture you might get some spots where the transfer is not perfect. I don't know if it would be washable though...

The paper has to be not too thick, so no photo paper. Printing paper works best but you can also use magazine paper. For the best result you should leave that drying over night though...

Or you can get a photocopy, that works perfect too!

Not yet, but might be coming ;) As the toilet paper tubes are all different sizes you best take one to the DIY store and see which roller fits the tubes you have :)

They are toilet paper inserts covered with random material like bubble wrap and adhesive craft foam. I took a roll from the DIY store to hold the inserts.

You can also transfer full color photos if they are printed from an inkjet printer....same procedure!

She made them using toilet rolls and covering them with the various textures :) The paint roller is just a standard one from a hardware store or similar.

I made them from toilet role inserts that I covered with self adhesive foam, bubble wrap and dry wall tape. I just bought a paint tower from a DIY store to hold them :)

We made ours by die cuting inexpensive craft foam. We were surprised that one thin layer of foam was thick enough to make an impression. I used a foam roller and stick a straight pin through the toilet paper tube into the foam to hold it in place, just one at each end. I also spent an afternoon fighting the craft foam into some snowflake punches to make a snowflake roller. The foam was just a little almost-too-thick for the punch and I ripped several but I was determined, persistent and ultimately successful.

Okay, great. But this wasn't using the gelli plate for the image transfer. This was just a two-part tutorial, one for gelli plate printing and the other for creating a transfer with acrylic gel medium.
