Beautiful land based fishing spots in New Plymouth

New Plymouth Is a really beautiful coastal town on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island with lots of good fishing spots!
This area is especially good for surf fishing and drone fishing.
Even though we were here in winter, we still managed to catch some fish.
Can not wait to go fishing these spots in summer.

Def. can’t go to the other breakwater at the port, is closed to public. When I was a kid some 30 years ago there was public access. And South Taranaki is where the big boys play, rough coastline and big snaps

Yes! Sea can be very rough to fish. Watch out for the weather and pick a good day! Safe fishing mate!
