Thanks for the shout out. I truly enjoy both of your channels and after that iron butt trip to Colorado, I can only recite the bumper sticker from a ski area in that state, "How's your Aspen"? 54 degrees lately in the mornings up here in Eastern MA..

Yup always view the cagers as out to get me. Good catch on the white car. I bought the panicle lowers but they don't work with the Goldstrike highway pegs which are great. I find the GW very comfortable in cold weather without them and ride to 34F every year. I have a Gerbing 12V oufit wired in to the bike (jacket and gloves) and a 7V battery powered vest. When the upper core is warm no problemo for the lower extremeties. The 23 GW heated grips are awesome and I can wear thin gloves at 40F. I have tried heated seats and don't like them. Everyone make sure to get a cardiac checkup to make sure your body is working properly. It can be a life saver. Stay safe and ride on!

I found a cure for inattentive drivers- I put a pair of Clearwater Ericas mounted under my mirrors. The brightness, especially with the amber lens cover, will sear their eyeballs if turned bright enough. And if that fails, I added the optional proton torpedo blasters.

100% agree! I’ve had the Clearwater Super Sevina’s installed under my mirrors the week I purchased my 22 Ultra Blue DCT Airbag in 2022! You can see those lights on Middle Aged Road Rage’s Gold Wing of the week. As you know the lighting technology of today is a blessing.

@@roadglide I installed Clearwaters on my BMW K1600, and it went ok, mainly because the harness connects directly to its CANBUS. Not so lucky on my Goldwing- the wiring harness was all manual and beyond me, so I looked for someone who knows Clearwater AND Goldwings. I found no one, so I called Clearwater in Sacramento. They said bring it here, so I rode from SLC (good excuse for a trip) and they did the job in about 2 hours to perfection, and at a very reasonable cost. I also had a great visit with Glenn, the owner of the business. Glenn said the R&D to make a bike connect to a CANBUS is huge and it requires cooperation with the manufacture for the interfaces, so getting to a Goldwing is years away. Beemers are done (he rides a GS1300), plus, there is more of a demand for Harleys right now.

Hi Robert-Thanks for an entertaining ride video, as always. A couple of things stood out. First, the inattentive driving in all parts of our nation is terrible, mostly caused by mobile phones. I'm so glad you were not any closer. (An angel was watching over you!). Second, you're so complimentary to your KZbin friends and supporters. You are just excellent at that! Lastly, a dedicated employee occasionally has to work on a Saturday. That's you and you represent a fabric of America that makes us great! Cheers to you.

Hello again Robert. Unfortunately clueless drivers are everywhere. I’ve made it a habit of keeping my left thumb on the horn button for incidents just like the one you had. It’s truer now more than ever that you need to keep your head on a swivel. Everyone seems to be in their own little world. Bright side. It was a great morning for a ride. Fall colours riding season is in full swing here. Be well. From another southern Ontario rider/ watcher.

People have become too dependant on their BLIS systems. Sometimes however, even the BLIS won't pick a large motorcycle in the blind spot. As a driver, I know there's no substitute for turning ones head to verify, but in some ways these these systems like the BLIS have made things even more dangerous for us. That being said, I've been riding all manner of bikes for 40 years, (currently on a BMW R1250GSA) and because of these systems, I too have been guilty of not physically verifying my blind spot and causing a stressful moment when driving on 4 wheels. This has just brought me to the act of deliberately not riding in anyone's blind spot anymore, regardless of what I/they are driving, even if it's another motorcycle. Ride safe my friend.

You pronounced my name perfectly, although my brother, who was stationed in Italy (during the war in Vietnam-how did he do that), said they pronounce it a little differently over there. Anyway, I just rode down to El Centro, CA for a Blue Knights charity poker run, my first substantial ride (155 miles) after knee replacement in August & it was a bit rough, especially the 98~100° temperature coming home, after the 70 mile poker run. When I took my Bike safety course in 89 one thing the instructor pounded into our heads is that you not only drive/ride for yourself but for all the Other morons on the road. Anticipation is a key. If you think a 4 wheeler may cut out in front of you, many times they will. One more thing, stay out of their blind spots too. I ride with my brights on day and night. If they don’t like it, too bad.

Good Morning Robert, I did notice the video stabilization issue on your last video and I was concerned it was the axxion camera mount. You mentioned in this video that you really like talking from your hemet and controlling the camera with voice commands. I assume you are using the Sena system to talk to the Ace Pro camera. The $60K question is, do you pair your Sena communicator to the camera or the Goldwing system to the camera? However you do it, the audio sounds very good and natural. As far as cars pulling in front of us, I think it’s good to use the horn to warn the driver of your presence, but not after he/she is already in front of you. I’m trying to be more disciplined about this as I’m seeing and reading more and more issues related to road rage. I live in a rural town and yesterday a father got fatally shot in front of his two young daughters just a few miles from our home over road rage. I don’t know the details, but a car driver who has no self control definitely has an advantage over a motorbike, especially if he/she is packing. Just something to think about. All the Best, James.
