Beautiful Open Concept Tiny Home in the Woods - The Halcyon Stay

Our second California tiny home was our first Halcyon Stay, being delivered to Palo Alto, to a beautiful property, nestled underneath spectacular oak trees.
We positioned this home on a cement slab, tied it down for earthquake provisions and skirted it for a polished look. By the time we left, the landscaping was complete and the tiny home looked like it had been there forever. This tiny home had some showstopper pieces to it including a custom concrete bathroom and sink, as well as a fully glass shower. There is so much light in these tiny homes, you feel like you’ve brought the indoors right inside.

If there were a way to reverse the plumbing into the near wall in that fabulous shower, residents could adjust water heat before stepping into shower, and you could especially add a beautiful deep bench seat where the plumbing is now that would add to the asthetics as well as its ADA accessibility. It would be YUMMY to see the beautiful fixtures you've selected through the glass door as you enter, too. ❤❤❤

This is not a cookie cutter build business. It’s all high quality, designed for the buyer, which is wonderful. Yes they have specific model floor plans, but this company is more about not settling for less it’s about what have you always wanted or appreciated. This company is also accessible to everyone. Why just throwing vague prices out there doesn’t work is because you are choosing to become the designer as well as the buyer.

You are going to have to find a solution to the yawning problem of not being able to step out from the house onto that gorgeous little deck. Double or triple folding glass window, maybe? OR...A MATCHING TELLESCOPING WINDOW!People instinctually feel uneasy in dwellings where every single window and visible exit is out one side anyway, making it feel like they are dwelling on a narrow ledge. Solving this porch access puzzle will increase the usable space in the home and nuture a sense of well-being in our deepest lizard brain. 😊

Absolutely bad ass I love it. Solar? Water? Waste? Are you shipping to Florida? Put kitchen next to bath, Get small back door, put laundry outside. Living rooms bigger now . Murphy bed cabinet with bunk cabinet that pull out like the telescopic doors. Recycled water cooling, as waterfalls insulated from glass.

Due to transportation, this is how the home is designed. We offer small modular deck pieces that connect the 2 but most often clients are going to build a big wrap around deck.

Almost perfect for what I would look for in a long term housing. What I don't like in most houses is the fact it's way to big for me. The desk space is perfect place to eat or use a computer or draw. Love a multifunctional space. I really like the large windows with the lovely natural lighting. Is the place equipped with solar? A small house like that is perfect for solar. I actually like using modern Toaster Ovens instead of traditional ovens. I would have used a pull out hidden 2 burner plug-in electric cooktop.

Yes, this home can be hooked up to solar. In this case the client had access to 50 amp power so it was an easy hook up.

A personal tip for next time get out from under the oaks. You'll either have to trim them or move your structure. Also the leaves fall all year long it's a hassle and a breeding ground for bugs. Maintenence for just the leaves alone is a nonstarter for me. Only gripe I have.
