If i have a Paris neighbourhood (I don't really ) but something seems to see me gravitating to the scruffy (sorry) end of the Sixth arr around St Placide and Notre Dame des Champs. It's IMO shabby chic rather than run down. But I bet you're moving somewhere even posher. The 17th,I nearly stayed at place there but had to cancel due to my money tide going out.... But it looks really nice up round there,mainly residential,lots of children's play parks,quiet and clean. Paris for Grown Ups! Lol.
