This street is among the safest to walk at night, but also, it's a big city so you should employ the same kind of street smarts here as everywhere else in Paris, or any other big city :)

We were just in Paris staying on Rue Montorgueil. I don’t understand why you two were discussing the fact that tourists walk down the street with their luggage - this is a pedestrian street - not for taxis! How else are we to get to our destination upon arrival without rolling our bags down the street??? Just curious how you guys didn’t see that it is obviously a pedestrian street.

Hi there - unless they’ve changed the rules very recently, taxis can still go down pedestrianised streets like montorgueil. Also, I don’t recall what we said exactly as this video isn’t so recent, but often Vero and I joke around, so don’t take anything too seriously :)

@ thank you for you your response. The only taxi that would go down that street was one that we got back at 1am and basically everything was closed. But thankfully we only lugged luggage twice. Arriving and departing and thank goodness we packed light.
