For all the know-it-all folks, if these guys were NOT using their identifiers on the radio, ATC would be very unhappy with them. They are the pilots with the required licenses and training. Give them credit for knowing how to do their job. Since Sean is required by his employer to edit out the call sign, that should make folks realize that what they see and hear on a video is not necessarily ALL the information. Don't convict someone until you have all the evidence.

It always surprised me that it was not on the checklist that the gear was selected down prior to engine start. I worked on the HS125 for over 20 years and we had a nose gear retract when a crew started an engine with the gear selected up. We also had a crew land with the parking brake on.

I'm watching your vids for the G450 flows and callouts... I've quit the Airlines (737NG/767 guy) and moving to Corporate life... after a lifetime of getting shot at (Military) and treated like a rented Muel (Freight/EMS) looking for and found (so far) the proverbial greener pasture. It does look however with my new gig I'll be going to way cooler destinations...so...maybe videos will follow! This particular video had some real "Gems" on ATC...one guy yacking on the wrong freq...another guy talking to Center at 1,000' asking for flight following, and another guy about to wander into an all quadrants hot training area! Just another Florida day!

There is no limit on how many a pilot can hole, but is is discouraged from maintaining currency on more than 2 at a time.

I had an idea for a Tech Tuesday that might be a bit down in the weeds. The overly simplified question is "how do the engines push the airplane?" That is, how are the engines mounted in the pods strongly enough to not break? Similarly, how are the pods attached to the airframe? How is the airframe strong enough to handle the thrust of the engines without breaking? If Alerion has an airframe specialist, this might be an idea for a guest spot.

The Hawker is super easy to fly, but I will always prefer the Gulfstream. It's just a different type of operation.

I know you have to blur and edit out the tail numbers on your flights to be able to do your videos and I am happy that you are able to do them but if you go to Alerions website it shows all the tail numbers for each aircraft. Not sure why they make you do it. Is there a specific reason? Asking out of curiosity.

Alerion’s not wanting to give out call signs makes little sense given all one has to do is listen to ATC and there they are...plus their website shows photos of your aircraft with tail numbers visible...would sure save editing time if they would lighten up on disclosing tail numbers. I’m sure there is a reason for secrecy but hard to figure out! Thx as usual for your videos, always fun to watch and always learn something!

I want to offer apologies for the ATC service you received. I have $100 that says that crossing restriction was completely unnecessary. That's done by lazy controllers who don't understand one scintilla about aircraft performance. I spent 25 of my 30 years of ATC running inbounds into ORD. I can count on one hand all of the crossing restrictions I ever issued. With just a little experience, you know when an aircraft should start down to be at an arrival fix at (or near) a specific altitude. 99% of crossing restrictions issued aren't even for traffic. They're lazy ATC.
