As someone who grew up in the country, I can tell you it really is that beautiful. Everyone in the country says they hate winter, but what they really mean is they hate it only when they have to go to work or school and interact with other human beings. People lose their minds trying to drive in the snow, acting foolish, inexperienced, and just not paying attention. That's when accidents happen. Other than that, yeah it's beautiful. I'd only ever go back if I could work from home.

Snow is surprisingly great to fall asleep to!!! Its not too loud and its not too soft, and it doesnt get way too loud at times.

Greetings from Germany where spring has already started by the beginning of 2018: Temperatures haven't drop under 7°C for a quite long time now. We already had +15°C this winter... Usually, temperatures drop below freezing at least in the night by that time. We also didn't have less then -2°C this cold period. It also snowed a few times: In the morning you wake up to heavy snowfall and about 0°C. In the evening hours, temperatures shoot back up to about 10°C. In the next morning, all the snow is gone. The thawing period in the alps also already began... The weather forecast predicted 10°C for tomorrow, the weekend and the next week on. I don't wanna know when temperatures will rise to 20°C. If we go on like that, that may happen when the sun shines all day long and warm air is coming from west our south... Mr. Trump, is that a normal thing, I mean autumn passing directly on to spring with leaving out winter?

-10° to -20° in the south of Germany right now. Winter came after all ;-) Aber hast Recht, scheint als ob die Jahreszeiten um zwei Monate nach hinten verschoben sind. Und richtig Sommer wirds auch nimmermehr. Hier in NRW nennen wirs aus gegebenem Anlass schon "Tornadosaison", kein Witz.

I agree it's not as loud in person but I think when these flakes hit the camera they're recorded louder. Almost might be good for them to try a shroud over the camera so it only gets fresh flake to snow sounds

@@abcdefg4570 I did use it last night and as long as it's not loud it sounds just like the real thing. If you play ocean waves or other loud sounds to drown out something invasive this won't be a good choice. Snow falling can't really be played loud

I didn't know that snowfall crackles like a fireplace. The audio breeze also sounds a whole lot stronger than what's seen in the video. So, video of snow falling in a mostly-breezeless environment, mixed with the sound of a fireplace and a strong breeze. Not entirely nature, and not the nature that's shown in the video, either. If I wanted to listen to a fireplace, I'd search for a fireplace video. And if I wanted to listen to strong winds, I'd search for a video with them. When I search for peaceful snowfall, I'd like to experience that instead of a fireplace and strong winds.

Not sure you've got it right. Some flakes are loud because they are hitting the camera directly. This is exactly how heavy snowfall sounds. Also the pine trees in the dense forest to the left and right cut and block the wind, making a lot of noise but not as much wind where the camera is. Also would like to point out that I see a few good gusts in the video

I miss winter. I enjoy every day of the snow we get. I go for a walk, to build a snowman, to take pictures. I HATE summer. It's gross, hot, people are sweaty, bugs are everywhere. To hell with summer. All hai to autumn and winter.
