Beautiful, Scenic Colorado Camp Spot | Dispersed Camping near Red Feather Lakes

There are several roads available for dispersed camping in the Red Feather Lakes area. We gave Deadmans Road a try. There are numerous spots but we were surprised to find many of them occupied. Luckily, we drove in far enough to find a perfect spot. It was beautiful, private and peaceful.
While we were camping near Red Feather Lakes, we explored the woods around us. There is a trailhead in the area as well as more to see as you continue along Deadmans Road. And when we headed into town to check out the namesake Red Feather Lakes we were amazed by the beautiful scenery. We were over the moon when we noticed a couple of moose hanging around as we watched in silence and admiration. The feeling we get just being in their presence never gets old.
