Yeah, always I interesting to see what kit is capable of. Returned that tent after a couple of outings, wasn’t up to task. Love my Akto though 🙌🏼

Brrrrrr, that looked a cold windy one, well done… I think I did the same with the guy lines, I copied the Hilleberg akto style and added longer guy lines on the side of the tent, always found the pole sleeve a bit fiddly, so kudos for modifying a system that worked for you. Thanks pal! It was Baltic up top 🥶 loads of fun though and good to test out some winter kit too. Actually ended up sending the Terra Nova back. Didn’t quite work out and had some quality issues that were a little concerning for winter use. Have a vid coming out soon that goes into more detail. Funny you should mention the Akto! We actually ended up swapping out the Terra Nova for a Hilleberg Akto in the end. Have a video coming out soon with a bit more detail on why. I definitely like my Akto a lot. It obviously lacks the advantages of a free standing tent and it’s a bit heavy and bulky for anyone who wants to go really lightweight. Sit up headroom is okay for me but may be an issue for tall folk like yourself. However the build quality is superb and definitely a strong cozy tent for most Scottish weather conditions. Enjoy, ATB

@@stuartwilson2480 So far loving it and really blown away by the build quality! I put mine on a diet and knocked off a decent bit of weight. I think it’s a winner though, time will tell! 🧐😁

Great video 👍 just subscribed. How do you find the tent? I’m looking at one of these in a bid to be more lightweight. I understand the new 2022 version has a silicone sealed main seam. I don’t know if that means it does away with the pole sleeve though or is in addition

Hey 👋🏼, thanks for watching and subscribing! The tent was unfortunately not good enough and the stitching near the door started to fail after only a couple of outings, so I sent it back. I went for an Akto from Hilleberg as you’ll see in later videos, and I love it. I have seen that in this years version of the laser from Terra nova they’ve finally gotten rid of the pole sleeve!

Hi, watching this late on but could you let me know what issues you had this tent - do the issues just relate to winter weather? Would it be good for all other seasons? Also I couldn't tell in your video but what's it like for sitting up in for cooking and 'admin' in the porch area? Seriously considering this tent as a first serious wild camping tent but if poss. please recommend any others?

Sorry for the very late reply. Main issues were the stitching quality started to rip after 2 windy nights. It just wasn’t mountain weather capable for me. Also the poles are not great.
