Seeing the piece of wood you started with I'd never expected a result like this. The rough burl turning into an example of elegance and purity. So stunning! Colour and structure resemble a piece of renaissance stone cutting. Agate or jaspis maybe.... Completely in awe 💚

Only five pieces of wood, I thought I'd clicked on the wrong link ... this must be one of your simplest yet most stunning pieces of work ... I knew the burl would look amazing, but wasn't expecting it to look that good, like a piece of finely sculpted stone. I was wondering why you made a ledge on the inner surface of the bowl, very unusual, but thought it actually looked pretty good ... then you started making a lid and it all made sense ... absolutely fantastic craftsmanship as usual 👍
