This video is so needed... With today's climate there isn't a black person alive who shouldn't be in therapy.. Just waking up and reading the news and watching people who look like us be murdered everyday... The trauma we see.. It's hard.. I myself am in marriage counseling... I have my own therapist.. And now I'm encouraging my son who is 22 to also go.. Therapy is a tool that is just as important as going to see your PCP... So needed...

I've tried volunteering, meetup.com. , therapy, reconnecting with old friends/acquaintances, church groups, nothing works. I'm glad I'll be off the next 2 months. Got a social anxiety workbook and self love workbook that I'll be working on. Can't continue living like this

I am grateful for this video . I have a great successful career for the past 20 years and I am thankful ! However I secretly feel embarrassed ,about being over age of 40 , single , never married ,no kids and that Society labels me not good enough and sometimes I belief god has forgotten me. Beautiful, Beautiful, Dr. Nina... You are truly a blessing. I'm literally in tears, because I needed this, this morning. I was searching for dry brushing, and you came into the feed with this powerful, and inspiring talk. Everything you said, I've either already experienced, currently experiencing, and more. I'm currently a stage 4 lung (non smoker, or drinker) cancer patient, that has given so much to others, yet, during this time, the people that have stepped in, are not the ones that have benefitted from my help the most. I know I will survive this season of my life, because Jesus is the foundation of it, and I'm determined. But, those detours to always take care of, and be the answer for others, will be changing. I'll always be loving, caring, compassionate, and helpful, but on this journey, God is reminding me, and showing me, the sincerity of those around me, and I'm listening. Thank you, Dr. Nina, and God bless you 🙏🏽 💐 Oh, congratulations 🎊 on your engagement, and marriage... you deserve it! And, I will be looking into your mentorship program, I need people that will inspire, push me and encourage me🌹 💎

So I’m just working on GENTLY redirecting my thoughts. I feel like a prisoner to the past (for now), feels like I’m chipping away at the wall with a little spoon. 🥄. I be like Kell, stop thinking about ish that happened yesterday. Stop punishing myself because people don’t like me. Like eckhart tolle said, just stop thinking, period 🤣 I’ll be checking out the Cerebral link for sure, can’t wait to get couseling . I’m 44. First, thank you for addressing this topic because this I struggle with this daily. I feel like I will never be enough for my husband. I left him for four years because I felt we were a toxic couple. No physical abuse just mental, emotional, and verbal abuse. While apart I found me and lost 70lbs. I went to therapy and found me for once in my life. I lived life and lived for me! We recently got back together and thing's started off good. Now we are right back where we where we started! I gained all me weight back and the constant feeling of depression. It is not worth all of this!!!:
