Beautifull Abandoned Chateau Cinderella [ Urbex 2018 ]

This amazing Chateau built in 1860 was the home of a wealthy French family. After they moved out in 1984 it got turned into a Hotel and Restaurant and was very luxurious. It opened in 1999 with 10 rooms with 20 beds.
The cost for upkeep was too high for the owner and he had to move on. And opened different restaurants in the area. leaving this beautiful chateau to decay since 2005.
There were investors with plans for this amazing building. But so far nothing has been realised on the location due to issues to get permission for opening a well being centre.
This location is not very hard to find on the internet and when we arrived we discovered we were not alone. at first we thought that it was security and backed off a bit. only to find out it were other explorers, and we made some new friends.
It was an amazing sunny day and we absolutely fell in love with the place. Its truly a fairy tale castle. no wonder it got the name Chateau Cinderella.

These houses obviously require a lot of upkeep, time, resources, etc. while I do share your sense that it’s sad to see this (and other buildings) fall into disrepair, to say that the entire “world” doesn’t appreciate anything of beauty is just bombastic and silly.

It states on her website this is a abandoned hotel in Belgium. Built in 1900 and abandoned in 2005. It’s always nice to know a little bit of the history. It’s so beautiful! I can’t imagine what in looked like before it was abandoned.

i did know someone years and years ago who bought an abandoned chateau some where in europe. he found it really hard to repair it as things went wrong quicker than he could repair. its a costly process a real money pit, plus in winter keeping a place that large warm is not economical. reality is a heartbreak in the end he had to walk away from it.

Mmm...signs of structural water damage, with most of the original hardware still in place, and only a few slight signs of modernization. How lovely it would be to restore this gem back to the original luster of its once warm rosey glow...the wonderful building, that it is.

Your videos would be much more interesting, if you told us where the home is and took the time to research the history, current status and plans for the homes. Also, as I mentioned in my other comment, you pan the camera too fast (not enough time to get a good look, let alone that it makes one dizzy), and don't show all the rooms.

Please dont say this is another beautiful place I am going to have to watch slowly decay till it is unsavable! I can see there is some water ingress but it dosent look too bad as yet, but I know once that water gets in it can go down hill fast. Please owners reduce the price till it sells.

It could still be used as a hotel/resort, the grounds with gardens and statues. In the right hands it could be amazing. I wonder how much acreage comes with it. Just sad 😔

These fireplaces are not necessarily faux. A while ago architects figured out ways to run the flues to the left or right of the actual fireplace and allow the placement of windows.

I didn't come up with the name. It's been given by the first who found the building. In the urbex scene it's verry normal that places get nickname to protect the place and real name. But with a nickname people know what place it is. This one got the name because of its pastel colours fairy tale like building. For all info you can go to my website

Your filming moves too fast for viewers. I would suggest slowing down when you turn camera around, keep camera straighter etc. I think audience would grow if you did. Great place 👍

One of the most beautiful chateau I have ever seen so far. Sometimes I couldn't help but to think why this kind of places had been abandoned. Why they need to build it only to be left frozen by time. While watching this clip, I'd felt a dejavu. I felt like I was there but don't know when. I had this sad emotions and feeling of the Rennaissance. It always happened to me even when I visited an old chateau or Rennaisance or Victorian kind of places. There's still a raw emotions of being in there. I even dreamt about it. I don't believed in reincarnation but why there's a dejavu?
