Excellent review! You did inspire me to put the book on my wish list.

This sounds PERFECT for my hubby! He overheard part of the review and had to interrupt to tell me this sounds like his jam. Already dropped in my shopping list for Xmas for him. 😊

This sounds so incredibly fascinating. My mother was raised Catholic, and Joan of Arc is her patron saint. I have a biography of Joan of Arc that's been languishing on my TBR for years, so maybe I will read it together with Genesis of Misery.

Great review! I love Joan of Arc which can variably make me a really good or really bad target audience for retellings 😂 I don't necessarily think that this would be a book for me but I do want to try the Tensorate series

I’ve been looking for a cool Joan of Arc retelling. The only one I saw before this was something called Voices that didn’t look that interesting. But this one really intrigued me, so I’ll try it out and see if I like it. Also, anyone else getting Neon Genesis Evangelion vibes?
