As a deep brunette who cannot do red or gold undertones I am ecstatic to finally see a true ashy brunette emerge in the wig world. Your comparison to the R6/10 that you thought was ashy just shows how the eye sees color relative to it’s color opposites and tones. Color is alive - it reacts to it’s surroundings and light conditions. Thank you for a good and different review.

Brunette Wig Place You bet - and I think this color is a nice departure for you. What I find is when you alter the tone of your hair color shade sometimes it helps to change up your lip color to compliment. Tip that works for me.

First off, so happy to find someone who reviews brunette wigs!! I have a hard time finding a medium ash brown color in most wigs. Do you think the chocolate smoke might fit this description? Keep up the great work and also filling the void!

Sheri Palmer hi! Glad you found me! I do think the shade is ashy. It’s their R4/6 so I would say it’s a darker medium brown with the blue giving it a gray cast. You could try the R4/6 alone also. They consider that to be dark brown blended with chestnut brown. I used to think the 6/10 looked ashy until I compared it to this color. It looks like they may not have Avalon in that shade anymore. Hope that helps! My best advice is to ask your retailer about the shades before you purchase. I always feel they are the best resource for that! Thanks so much for watching!💕💕

Same here, feel like I've been searching for ages to try to find a natural looking medium ash brown. Why is such a simple color so elusive? Everything seems to have gold or red or caramel highlights.

This is such a pretty style. It reminds me of JR's Heidi. I do like the idea of putting a gray-ish strand here and there in our wigs, so they look more natural. This might be the best way to do it. I have never thought about Avalon before but will check her out. Thank you, Lisa! 👩💗

Hi! Avalon is so pretty! I hav a small to average head. Does Estetica run a little larger? I'm concerned that Avalon might be big on me. What is your measurement and how loose is she on you! IWhat is the other wig in the R610!

Ruth Hersh Estetica does run a little larger but I’m able to take the adjusters in a bit and it fits. My circumference is 21”. All of my measurements are always below the videos in the info section, just in case you want to compare. The other wig is my old Avalon that I cut shorter. Thanks so much for watching!💕💕

It suits you very well, this ultra cool tone. I always get confused about skin tone and haircolor, I think cool toned means you need an ashy haircolor. I don' t know my skin tone but couldn't wear it because it is too dark anyway

I got this color in Avalon and LOVED it!!! It was too small on my head, which is 22.5. I am new to wigs and as a petite person, I just assumed I would be average. I am so bummed because wig styles for larger heads seem to be very limited. I still have my bio hair, but it's on the thinner side.

@@BeautifulYouWigReviews That's what I heard too! Feel a bit like a freak haha. I'm 22.5, 13 ear to ear and just under 14 crown to nape. Maybe it's my head shape? I just felt like as I moved around and leaned back she was starting to crawl backward and rode a little high above my ears, but maybe that's normal? Tried a grip but too tight. Maybe I'm underestimating my bio hair (which is transitioning silver thus the wigs). Its frustrating because I love all the styles but can't afford to keep exchanging. Thanks for your videos!

@@BeautifulYouWigReviews I did try one, but it added to the feeling of the wig pulling back from my hairline, especially if I leaned my head back.i had some bio hair showing around my temples and slightly around my nape. Maybe my head is slightly conical lol? I really don't understand. Ironically I have a cheap Amazon wig that fits just fine but looks super fake haha. I'm planning to try one more brand/style.

That's wild!! At times I thought I saw the blue but then I thought it was gray in color!! I love Avalon's style but everytime I have bought an Estetica wig, there just too small on me!!

Yes the blue is very subtle but definitely visible to the eye. That’s interesting that they run small for you. They are usually too big for me, but I have seen a lot of inconsistencies with the sizing on this brand too. Thanks so much for watching!❤️

Kel S yes I do on certain brands if they are a little big. I’ve heard when they seem a bit small, it helps too. I like the lace front bands from Milano or Bren’s Beauties. I couldn’t use that renatural one with my bald head!

I have alopecia and have been wearing Kristen by Jon Renau, so I’m a little nervous about the length and how she’ll hold up. How has she been for you? This is my second Avalon. My first one held up fairly well. I had a few wigs that I was rotating with it, but I still wore it quite a bit. I recommend combing with a wide-toothed comb and spraying the nape often with a conditioning spray! Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!❤️

I’ve had that problem with this wig too. It’s like the permatease in the style wakes up the longer you wear it. They have a very similar wig called Brooklyn that I like better because it’s almost the same style, but it has a full mono top so it doesn’t poof on top. You might like Brooklyn better. This color looks fantastic on you, but weird on most of the other reviewers who have recently featured it. I hate to sound negative, but I feel like this color’s popularity will have a short expiration date. Like a fun fad, but not one that will become a classic. The wig color equivalent of a jumpsuit. Looks great on a lucky few, but not really practical for daily wear.

Judy Dubinsky what? Go to the Estetica site and you’ll see that they do. It may be that your retailer isn’t carrying the color any more. My previous one was purchased in 2018 and it says R6/10 on the inside. If you’re shopping at Cysterwigs they may have cut that color from their inventory though.

Judy Dubinsky hi! I went and did some research and saw that WS1 and cysterwigs don’t have it in this color. That’s too bad if they aren’t making her in that color any more. But Estetica still has it listed so I’m not sure what’s going on. I hope it’s not another brunette that bites the dust!
