As always, a helpful review. I appreciate the detail you provide. Being able to view the pieces on the mannequin (and you!) from several perspectives is helpful.

I think both look great on you. I agree with you that Finn is the more flattering piece, just all around better in style & color. I've always thought Finn was classier looking than Avalon. Finn's curl pattern & HL's are stunning. Her layering is awesome. She's really beautiful. This video was a great, in depth look at both from all perspective s. I personally don't think you need to edit out the parts where you turn the mannequins. You do so many great reviews, why make them be more work for you? I appreciate the amount of time you take to thoroughly show the things you are trying to put out there to help everyone. There's a fast forward option for those who find some videos to lengthy in places ;) Thanks for sharing this comparison. I found it helpful in the fact it solidified what my thoughts were on these two gorgeous pieces. 🤗❤

Love both of these! You’re right about Finn and the effect of the layers. I also end up clipping Avalon up when I wear her - ha! Another great video! As for feedback, I like the unedited approach because I like the natural flow of you “talking to us”. Reaching in and turning the wigs flowed with what you were explaining. You are a natural!

@@heywigsister I'm not sure if you will remember but some time ago I told you that I had contacted several well known wig companies with regards to creating something very similar to the one I am wearing in my profile pic which I bought after seeing your review of it (Vivica Fox Orlando). Wellll....drum roll please.....I am very pleased to tell you that I have heard back from the Founder/Director of Belle Tress, Julie Min several times and the latest is that the wig is 'in production' and should be available in September, she also told me it will be called TWIX....how exciting is that! Girl, Avalon gets my vote on you. It looks really natural and frames your face very nicely! And I love the Avalon color on you because you carry off warm reds/golds so well! I have a semi-round face and I don't tend to like hair styles that are fuller on the sides, but hair styles that slim down the look of my face. (An exception to this is Broadway which I love), Finn's a little poofy for me. Finally, imo, you look younger to me in Avalon, more youthful. Your best line for wig wearers: "How many people are looking at the top of your head?" LOL. I'd say not many with you, I think you said in a video you're like 5'9" right? I'm 5' 4.5"...but I really don't care who's looking down on my head IF they are. :-)

Thank you for this comparison, I've been curious to see them side by side as I already have Avalon but I've been curious about Finn. You look so great in both wigs (and both wigs are gorgeous) but I just wanted to say that I think the colour rth6/28 is particularly good on you :)

Hi Denise. It's perfect just the way u did it. I was considering getting Avalon, I have 3 Finns. My 1st was my favorite but then the color faded and so did the curls cuz I wore it out. I got one in a Toffee Latte but it was too much blond for me. I've never had that much highlighting, never wore it. Then I got one in another brunette color but as u know even if u get the same style, they're all kinda different. Only wore that 1 time. But after your video I won't be getting Avalon. You ladies really help with these reviews. Thank u so much. Maybe I'll try Ocean? I don't know, I'm still shopping. Thanks again.

This was very helpful, Denise. Thank you! I have the exact same Finn and I wore it every day to work last week. She's become my favorite, too. I feel like she needs thinning though. But I'm afraid of ruining her and that would make me cry. :) And turning the heads was great. I loved seeing all angles compared side-by-side.

If you can wear her as is wait to thin her.... she might relax and then you won't need to.

Hi Denise. Thank you for doing this! I own Avalon in R30/28/26, but I definitely need to get a Finn! Question: your Avalon appears to have a nicer curl pattern than mine. Mine is really dragged down and the beachy waves are not that flattering. Did you comb thru the curls on yours? If so, I will try that with mine. The other thing I might try is sea salt spray. And you are correct that Avalon wants to hang in my face. Ok, thats it, I NEED a FINN!!!! Lol. Great comparison video, and you turning the heads was just fine, no editing needed. Sending many virtual hugs your way! Shelly

I have the Finn in Iced Mocha. The Hair I had in the late 80's! Tough on the mannequin turn question. Would "look" more professional if edited, BUT, the turn actually lets the hair move and we can see that movement better without the edit. Maybe consider getting a stand that rotates? Amazon around $25. I have a rotating stand for my canvas head I use when thinning, steaming, just overall styling of my wigs. Keep it up! We enjoy your content!

Can u please do an instructional video on how to steam a wig-as comprehensive (or whatever u can) as possible? I just hear of people always talking about steaming diff spots( usually in the front for lift) but NEVVERRR SEE someone DO it. Also, give a recommended steamer(s) for it? Thanks and thank you for your helpful vids, Julie in Texas

YES! I will say, though, that I do currently have TWO videos where I show steaming.... they are not SPECIFICALLY about steaming, but they do show it.... here are the links: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGi5fHtvd5tnbdU this one I show the steaming at the 17 minute mark

No, unfortunately I no longer have Brooklyn so can't do a comparison. 😔

Very helpful comparison. I think both are pretty but too much hair for me at the moment. A thinner Finn with less or no permatease would be great for me, lol. As for editing, I liked seeing you manually turn the mannequins because I could see how the hair moves. Plus it's less work for you.

While neither wig really appeals to me, I’d love to see Fin in the same colour as Avalon on you. I love you in the red. I’m also not taken by the Coffee range of colours, I think I must be a bit boring in that respect 😊. You look fabulous in both wigs, and your review is always really well done. The model heads are exactly the same dimensions? Fin looks like it’s standing slightly higher than Avalon, is that the permatease lifting it?
@heywigsister4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the mannequin heads are exactly the same and Finn does look lifted... that is definitely the permatease at work as Avalon has very little. Great observation!
