i think you'll all be pleasantly surprised. Emma herself is VERY enthusiastic about the role, you can tell in the behind-the scenes interactions with the crew. her Belle is just slightly more serious, more discerning. in this movie, she's an inventor/engineer. she actually shares many personality traits with my own sister, who is an engineer. i love it! it's showing girls that they dont have to be OVERLY bubbly and charming and ~princess-y~ all the time, and they can still be fun and lovely and IMPORTANT even if they are introverted or reserved. you're all behaving like Gaston right now, to be honest. "smile more", "stand up straighter", "look more EXCITED". smh

I can already tell that Disney's going to get a lot of my money from this. I plan to go on the 17th, but I also plan to go see it at least twice more. I've already bought the new version of "Tale as Old as Time: The Art and Making of Disney Beauty and the Beast" updated January 31, 2017 release because it had some sections on the live action film (excellent book, even if I already owned an older edition). I would have bought the dolls if the Disney Store had done a good job or if Hasbro had. Definitely am buying the blu-ray once it comes out. I'm debating buying the soundtrack... I should just pass my wallet over to Disney now.

And having already seen the movie twice, I just want to laugh at the bigots because the scenes they are referring to are not even proof that the character is gay. I've said it in other comments, and I'll say it again. It is a backward world where people are up in arms over two human men being in love but are okay with a human female and a beast male being in love. Bestiality is okay as long as they're different genders? And yes, I'm fully aware this isn't true bestiality, that it is a cursed human, blah blah blah, but it's just amusing that people fixate on a side character's sexuality but are okay with a romantic dance between the beast and Belle.
