I'm glad the dance routine is included in this clip, because it was great when I first watched it live back then, and it still looks great. It's tough to choreograph for something like JFK, but Debbie Allen figured it out, and managed to convey the feel of the movie with dance movements. The number was very well received, and Debbie ended up doing the same thing for several more Oscar shows. Also, the winner here, Alan Menken, won this award so often in the 90s that the Academy later created a second category for movie scores.
