omg can't believe some of the comments left about her.she is giving you what works for her. picking on her eyebrows and stuff just ridiculous. women try to hard to be beautiful. real beauty comes from within. watch something else you like or worked for you.but don't pick her apart. look in your mirror.that's why I hate reading comments just wanted to get some feedback not hateful comments. ***** I've watched you for YEARS (before you were prego with Ellie) and I noticed that your lighting has gotten kinda bad? It's too white washed, you can't see your face very well or the application of products because of this. I noticed a few other people mentioning this in other videos and hoped you could maybe fix the issue for us? It's so bright that I almost get a headache trying to see what you're doing :( Love you! xoxo

You're the first person I've seen in many years who does full coverage foundation and setting powder BEFORE doing eyes and brows. Thank you! I've always done my makeup this way even in the 80s we used foam triangles because it saved a ton of makeup, applied without streaks and lasted all day from 6:30am to 11pm
@mimimazing548 жыл бұрын
so she's right. the beauty blender is awesome but dont let the company fool you. You can use practically any bar soap and it will work just as well. Nikki tutorials suggested hotel bar soaps and thats what I've been using with mine. it works perfectly, my blender has not broken down and is in like new condition. I appreciate the product but hate being up sold for something unnecessary.

I've also been using mine a longer than she mentioned. I'm talking 3 years, not 3 months. I have 2 of them and switch back and forth but still been using the same one longer than 3 months. How long have you used yours?

@sjlovesicecream(sorry your settings won't let me reply to you normally) yes you can use it with powder! That's my favorite part! The beauty blender was created by my friend and makeup artist, and the most used reason for it is to set the makeup with powder! all my celeb makeup artist friends use it with powder! Many people that make videos and leave hate on videos aren't makeup artists, they just don't really know. ha ha ha They were designed to be used with powder so you just keep on doing it that way! huge hugs

I got my beauty blender yesterday and tried it out for the first time today, I am impressed! It gave such a perfect patch free foundation application, my foundation hasn't budged ALL DAY! Usually by now it's started to slip but its staying put! The sponge makes it look as though you have no foundation on whatsoever, but instead have perfect blemish free skin. I also didn't realise how big the solid cleanser was when I ordered it, its rather big which is awesome! And the dry beauty blender is so cute and small, but it grows big time! The only thing I will say is that the pink dye runs a bit in the water after the first wash, not too much, but of course most brand new brushes and sponges run in the first wash. I love it!

+Maria Gonzalea I've been using the DHC Deep Cleansing oil lately, but basically anything that's not mineral oil based will do because the mineral oil based ones (Sephora Brand or The Garnier one) seem to leave an oily residue. Ms Shauna Mahoney Do you think I could use the Seventh Generation dish liquid to clean the BB safely? It says it's natural and free of fragrance. Also, I'm new with the BB and wondering if you can spot clean it and what you could use? I heard of using witch hazel and tea tree oil in a spray bottle as spot clean for brushes, but not sure if you can for the BB.

I seen this video and went out and bought a beauty blender the very next day. I absolutely love it. I actually am really bad at applying make up, but I love to do it. I struggled with very dark under eye circles and I couldn't find anything that helped me successfully hide them. Then I used this lil thing and I have to admit I was amazed. I didn't have to put goo gobs of make up on and I had wonderful coverage. My best friend looked at me the first time I used it and asked who did my make up. That made me feel awesome. Now even though my eye make up is crummy my skin looks flawless. Thank you so much!!! Now if only I could conquer these hooded lids I'd be cooking with fire.

+Mariah Papaya +Amber Parsons I find a better use is to pump the Foundation on the back of your hand and then take a finger to place it in big dots on your face and THEN start spreading and blending with the beauty blender. (PS: different foundations have different amounts to get your face fully covered)

I think it's not bad and some people really like it if they are used to it but I was a huge huge skeptic of the Beauty blender but after using it for a while I finally am a believer. The lighting in this video is too bright -- it looks like your makeup might not actually look very good, but you turned up the contrast, like in photoshop, to make it look better. If that is what you're doing already than please forget this comment.. Other than that: I love your videos. You have taught me so much over the years. Just so everyone knows, I have used both the original Beauty Blender and "knock-offs" on myself and do not see a difference. I am perfectly content with using a knock-off. Someone should do a blind study and see if people notice a difference. TJ Maxx and Marshalls sell great "knock-offs" that I love and continue to use daily. I returned the Beauty Blender for my money back, not worth it.
@kandeejohnson9 жыл бұрын
the knocks offs are made of mostly likely latex, which causes many skin allergies, they are stiffer, the shape does not give an airbrushed look, I've tried several of them and they don't ever get as soft as the BB when they're wet! it's worth it to spend a few more dollars, my friend as put so much time and scientific studies into making the beauty blender unlike anything else!
@HeyNowMandy9 жыл бұрын
maybe i just personally didn't see the difference then, and other people will! maybe one day i will give the original another try and look harder for a difference.

Best tutorial I have seen so far about the beauty blender👍
@terranb219 жыл бұрын
I like the Real Techniques sponge better than my beauty blender. I like that it has a flat side and a pointy side and I can not tell the difference between it and the beauty blender as far as how the sponge is. It feels exactly the same it sucks in water the exact same and it's only 6$. Not only is it way cheaper but I think it's way better. I think the Beauty blender is just way too over priced for what it is. Esp when another company has been able to come out with the same thing for like 75% cheaper. Just my opinion... There are some god awful knockoffs out right now though. Hard as rocks. My number one Real Techniques and my number 2 is my beauty blender.
@CHarmMing9 жыл бұрын
That's exactly why I got my beauty blenders during a great sale at cherry culture. Before they got rid of other lines I was able to get two two packs of black blenders and the solid cleanser at 40% off each. I also have the real techniques one and I love them all. I find the real techniques one easiest for doing makeup on myself.
@steffers8419 жыл бұрын
I have never tried the beauty blender because I cannot justify the cost. Most beauty bloggers have gotten theirs for free as PR material (MOST). I have purchased the Real Techniques sponge and LOVE IT! Its so soft and is flawless!
@Isennia9 жыл бұрын
Where can you buy that one?
@steffers8419 жыл бұрын
I am in Canada so I bought one from London Drugs but I think you can get one at Target. I also found one on eBay for $7
@terranb219 жыл бұрын
Isennia I got mine at Kohls but I know they sell them at Walmart too. You can also go to the Real Techniques website :)

do you wash it after every use?
@celinamromero82019 жыл бұрын
You don't have to but it's highly recommended so it won't grow bacteria
@celinamromero82019 жыл бұрын
Actually yes wash it every time so you won't get mold, but if you do start seeing dark spots on it throw it away and don't use it again!THAT IS MOLD,you need to buy a new one if that happens
@yasminparisa9 жыл бұрын
what if its just foundation stains?
@Tcjonez909 жыл бұрын
+Yasmin T I think you will be able to tell, if it's an orangey, peach colour then you know it's just makeup but if it is small black/dark spot then I would say it's probably mold growing

goes in to the pore 360 degrees ? you are not going around back of the pore maybe it would better to say from all angles instead
@liebekaese8 жыл бұрын
well if you imagine a pore as a circle it actually makes sense because a circle has 360 degrees... so all angles are covered

I'm not a fan of the Beauty Blender 1) It doesn't work with my makeup primer spray which I need so my makeup doesn't melt off 3 hours later. 2) I feel like it thins out my foundation and I have acne scarring I like to cover. I even tried squeezing out the excess with a towel. 3)Mine feel apart after about a month. I was gentle with it too as I was scared this might happen. I just prefer to use my fingers.
