I once watched a doco about Cuba in early 2000, a place that had no ads, magazines, and celeb culture. You had ppl dating of all mixed nody type's and facial looks. When asked what they consider as beautiful it was personality and that first glimse spark.

A newborn baby probably won't be seeing anything that clearly on day 1..mostly blurry images and it improves day by day. Basically day 1 shouldn't be counted

@@TheFutureIQ Babies dont see clearly for many months so day 2 isnt any better than day1. Also, they dont see colors for many months. A new born typically sees blurry, black and white with some gray scale for many days.

What has half the population got to do with average? Average is the mean of the sum total and that is not the same as half. Where did you get this stupid arguement?

You are misinterpreting his argument. Mean in a Gaussian (normal) statistical distribution represents a quantity that is greater than or equal to (or conversely lesser than or equal to) 50% of the values within that distribution. If you consider any statistical distribution in general, then that applies to the median. So yes, there was an assumption of normality for attractiveness, but that seems to hold because attractiveness is a cumulative of biological attributes.
