This is so true. I had an ex who would get upset with me for needing to get ready to go out all the time. It wasn’t anything serious but at least let me brush my hair and put on some moisturizer/sunscreen! Then of course my outfit needs to match the occasion and look put together. He would always get upset saying that I’m doing too much. I stopped caring about my appearance with him and I always felt like crap because of it. Now that I’m on my own again I feel so much better because I can take however long I want to get ready and change my outfit 10 times if I want to. I feel like this happens to a lot of women in relationships where the men they’re with try to convince them that they don’t need to look nice because it makes them insecure. It should be discussed more tbh

It's not about looking nice, it's more about being inconsiderate of his time if it takes you a long time to get ready everytime you go out, or if you can't be spontaneous with him sometimes. And if you take forever to decide what to wear, that's another issue. Has nothing to do with him being jealous.

Cant blame an ex for this, i prefer to take some accountability, I use to be this person, I have since learn to plan my outfits and have things ready so I dont make my man wait unnecessarily long. He always looks so thrilled when I walk out the room ready to go because I not only look amazing, but I didnt take forever to do so he says he really appreciates how I am considerate and respectful of his time I know how much he makes an hour so I get it! 😅❤

I feel my most powerful when I’m dressed well. But that’s been rare now because I work from home and I don’t dress up much. Basically oversized clothes and crocs every day 💔 My grandparents always tell me to dress my best. I highly recommend researching Claire Nakti. Her insights on beauty and how appearance manifests within the feminine world is eye opening. Wow I wish I had watched this 20 years ago! Elder millennial here - always considered beautiful but I self sabotaged a lot due to low self worth and limiting beliefs similar to some you mentioned, as if beauty were frivolous, though I knew it wasn’t and looked up to Frida Kahlo. But the main point I got from this was the discipline and intention that beauty reflects. Beauty as strength and power, as being self possessed. those are optional elements to the craft of beauty but not necessary. the ones you mentioned are my personal choices that have helped me transform and enhance the beauty from within. hair increases psychic abilities. lashes clear confusion from sight and protect from evil eye. corsets allow me to feel supported and like i’m going into battle. also… i don’t use these elements all the time. even in this video my hair was not done coz it was too hot lol. i find beauty in all of it. i find beauty when a woman decided to center her health, expression and alchemy. 💞

Two weeks ago I read the introduction of this book called "Bread and Roses" by Andrea D'Atri, it's a book about marxism feminism and today I totally understand the feeling of feel alienated and exploited as a woman. You video has so much power that I related your words to this book. I also think beauty is power and more than that, it's an intimate and deep experience with yourself and your surroundings. "Bread and Roses" is also a feminist collective that their main phrase is "We don't want, we demand bread and roses", "bread" is the laboral opportunities and equal salaries for women, and "roses" the love and respect we deserve for being women. I have fangs proceed with caution 😂 yes there are more times I’d rather just have the leave me alone look when I’m out and about in my solitude and I notice instantly how the energy shifts when I do my hair/makeup and dress differently. 🙃 sometimes this actually upsets me how shallow people are. I’m doing my best to use it to my advantage but I do struggle with feeling icky when I do but I feel icky when people (men) treat me differently because of my looks anyway! So having control over it is powerful and empowering! 🌹🫠
